Freep wrong on scenarios for winning the Divsision

Is it just me or is Michael Rosenberg correct on his article.  He claims MSU has to lose for Michigan to win the division.

I thought if there was a three way tie, that Michigan would win on overall record as Nebraska and MSU would each have two losses.  Am I wrong here, does it go to big 10 record first and that's what would put MSU in with a three way tie.

A team with a good quick passing game will give them a run for their money, as it'll take advantage of their over-aggresive play.

They also seem to be stuck (one-track mind) on offense too.  Most of their plays continued to be outside/the edge runs, which Nebraska was too fast to beat on the edges.  I thought they'd have done better pounding it with Bell.  Granted Cousins was awful, but I think you can expect him to be that way 1 out of 3 games or so.  Good chance they lose at Iowa, or NW if Persa's OK.

MSU's realistic chances for a loss are @NW or @Iowa, which is good since they are both in-division. So say they lose one. Provided that we don't win out, we have to beat Nebraska and can't lose to Iowa or Nebraska will win the in-division tiebreaker outright; therefore, the loss would have to come from Illinois or OSU. We also can't have Nebraska drop a game in addition to ours (e.g. @ PSU) as we would then need to beat MSU outright. Sounds like a lot of conditions, but the scenarios are really quite plausible.

If Sharp, Snyder or Rosenberg wrote it, it's likely wrong.  Working through "Three and Out" and so fired up that Brian took Rosenberg to task.  Makes me like this blog even more.

As far as the tie-breaker goes,  even though its right there in black & white, explained, underlined and emphasized, I am not sure exactly what the future portends should Michigan Win out,  and believe me that's saying a lot, a whole lot.

But this I do know, should that eventuality come to pass & Michigan is not in the final Championship game, which would also mean finishing the regular season with but a single loss, my wildest expectations will have been surpassed by a mile.

Not only that but a very real possibility of having a higher BCS ranking than the losing team of that game.
