NW shut out in the 2nd, with I think less than 130 yards of offense
October 8th, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
Take out the last junk drive and wasn't it like 60-something yards in the second half?
October 8th, 2011 at 11:28 PM ^
Total first half yards: 277 yards
Total second half yards: 161 yards
Second half yards minus the last drive: 82 yards

What's up with all these random, useless threads?
October 8th, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
Michigan won! Enjoy it!
October 8th, 2011 at 11:08 PM ^
In the old days this would be a posbang fest.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:11 PM ^
I think this thread is great. "What was better?" is such an improvement over all the argument threads after damn near every game for the last three years.
October 9th, 2011 at 4:29 AM ^
I would much, much prefer "What was better?" over "What was worse?"

Denard's second half.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:54 PM ^
rendition of Seven Nation Army which was louder than the NW band. I was in sec 112 and most of the NW fans could not believe how loud we were.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:55 PM ^
I enjoyed hearing that on TV.
October 8th, 2011 at 10:59 PM ^
The NW student section was sitting down through the whole act. It was awesome. This is my first away game and it could not have been better.
Special thanks to prariedweller for his recommendation for parking. I parked west of the stadium on a side street and was as close as the golf course.
I would bet we were about 40-50% of the crowd although I did not hear the official totals.

must have never been to Ryan Field with Michigan visiting before......

When Michigan was trying to take the lead. They talked about it on the radio.
Too bad Northwestern didn't play it at their stadium, but, y'know...
October 8th, 2011 at 10:55 PM ^
I'll go with "toughness"; because it makes all the others possible. ;-p

But man, the D in the second half...

that swim move was sick!!! mattison is gonna squeeze every ounce of talent out of him

28 straight points. That's all that mattered to me,
October 8th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
also gardner's pass to jackson was really impressive

You forgot about number 5!
5) Hoke's 2nd half pointing.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
How'd I miss that?
October 8th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
It was in the 4th quarter about 1 or 2 plays into the drive after we went up 42-24. Thanks to BTN2Go I was able to rewind and capture the glory.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:02 PM ^
between D pitching a shutout in the 2nd half and Denard coming back from 3 picks. I love both!

crap, wrong thread
October 8th, 2011 at 11:10 PM ^
Nebraska's in our division. I'm rooting for Ohio. Better for us to squash a respected OSU squad, and also I want to win our division.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:20 PM ^
October 8th, 2011 at 11:26 PM ^
How can you root for OSU? Not an attack by any means, I just don't understand how anyone can root for their rival. As always, I hope they never win another game. Not against the SEC, PAC 12, Sunbelt, etc.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:33 PM ^
it's simple- do you like Michigan more than you dislike ohio?
October 8th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
I want UofM to win the B1G more then I want OSU to lose. If OSU beating Nebraska helps us then I want OSU to win. And people need to stop with this crap about us needing to beat them anyway. The winner of our division is most likely going to have at least 1 loss...maybe 2.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
How about Gardner's best Vince Young impression on his TD? That was an exact replica of Vince's TD run in the rosebowl.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
I remember VY running it in from about 15 yards out. I did like what I saw from Devin though.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:12 PM ^
Just the way it happened, not necessarily how long the run was. I just found it funny, because everyone says his skillset is like Vince Young's.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
Brady Hoke confounding BTN announcers and going for it on his own 40 in the first half.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
that call. DB was directly in front of me and he did a palm plant (assuming he did not agree with Hoke going for it). I promise to never 2nd guess the coach again. I promise to never second guess the coach again....X 100.

October 8th, 2011 at 11:38 PM ^
The Michigan defense in the second half was by far the best
October 8th, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
Of course the way the D stepped up in the second half. I was also really pleased with how Gardner played. He look comfortable and did not seem nervous. His touchdown was a sweet play.
October 8th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^
Ohio's 2011 O is worse than Michigan's 2010 D.

Anyone see Vince Smith form two guns with his hands and shoot at the defense on our converted 4th and 1? I thought that was pretty badass
