Submitted by Maizedout1982 on

I know i will get negged for this, but i am on Facebook and saw Jordan Payton added University of Michigan to his education. I am not trying to read too much into this, but i am hoping he does indeed come to Michigan.

I scanned through the thread, and didn't see the following link about Payton's invitation to the Army All-American Bowl:

http://michigan.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1274937

In the article (non-paywalled,) it mentions that Michigan is in the driver's seat, especially after Payton's visit to the ND UTL game. Certainly a great recruit for Michigan, in one of the few areas of strong remaining need.

In other recruiting news, I haven't heard much on whether Michigan is still offering O'Brien, who is due to announce soon. I have assumed we will take one more OL, a WR, and Dunn.

We have up to six spots left. This could be:

  • WR Payton
  • OL Garnett
  • RB Dunn
  • OL Banner
  • CB Wright
  • WR Diggs
  • DT O'Brien
  • WR Darboh
  • OL Diamond

I haven't heard much about Diamond, or Darboh, and have doubts about whether O'Brient wants to come to Michigan. Having said that, If we got only one of the WR's, Dunn, and one of the OL, that'd be just great.

As creepy as it may be how do you think TomVH and Ace, etc conduct their interviews with recruits? Even coaches talk to players on there. It's kinda sickening but it's as sad of a truth as job bosses checking your social network out for backgrounds.

I am going to the big game tomorrow night, Westlake vs. Oaks Christian. I will get to see him in person. It is going to be shown on Fox Sports, I assume it will be a regional broadcast. Game is at 7pm PST. My son's Bantam team is playing playing an exhibition game at halftime. I will tell him to say "Go Blue" to Jordan if he sees him.

I wish TomVH was still here to comment.

Unfortunately MGoBlog has been relegated to UFRs and that's about it these days.  Unless you like shitty interviews (Ace) or worthless statistical analysis (mathlete, misopogon).

Congratulations, Heiko.  I like you.
