My first thread and my first attempt at video editing. Enjoy!

how the music begins slow with the memories of past greats and then gets more serious to hype up the upcoming season. Great video!

Great music choice.

ABC or ESPN2
August 30th, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
The start was a nice touch, I've been watching hype videos all night, and this is easily top 3 that i've seen! Nice work!

Watch while driving?
August 31st, 2011 at 8:13 AM ^
I'm a fan like that.
August 31st, 2011 at 10:48 AM ^
The person who uploaded the video can make it available to mobile. They just have to go back and change it in the youtube editing page towards the bottom.

Much better than the other recent submissions. Thanks for posting.

GOOD JOB! Love Chemical Romance
August 30th, 2011 at 10:42 PM ^
I enjoyed the music, it was different, and went well with the clips. For first attempt, I would say very well done!!

I can certainly appreciate the time and effort that goes into making these videos, but the musical selection is kinda soft. In this one, it sounds like part of the soundtrack from a straight to DVD teenage dramedy when the protagonist is getting prepared for the student council race. Of course, balance that against the auto-tuned trash of recruiting videos and you've got a tough choice.
To someone with the drive to put something together, I'd recommend Tef Poe's "Show Stealers" as the soundtrack. No, you've never heard of him, but the track combines hip hop and a college marching band/drumline. Much more hype than "Mannequin 2 - On the Move".
I can't embed, so click and see what you think: http://www.youtube.com/user/tefpoe?blend=12&ob=5#p/u/0/sXXPOO2if8E (and, no, I don't know the guy...but I do know music).
August 30th, 2011 at 11:18 PM ^
That would be the worst music ever for a hype video. My dick's a long as a dinosaur bone. Really? I don't know the guy either, but I know that music would suck.

Maybe you would care to deploy your apparent expertise in the making of your own video? It is easy to be critical/dismissive but harder to create your own.
August 31st, 2011 at 8:50 AM ^
I completely agree with you; I don't have the know-how to create a video with non-original content (where are folks downloading the video clips anyway?). It is easier to criticize (or compliment) than to create. That's why I give props to the effort, even though it falls flat for me (Pop Evil anyone?).

I don't like your taste in music - the music I like is sooooo sick though.

I am either in, or just graduated from, high school. As such I fully understand that scorn is personified by comparing your well-produced video to the reality I inhabited these past years.

I can't put together a sick video like this. What's more, I don't have the motivation to learn how to do so. Can I make up for this by taking pot shots and offering unconstructive criticism?

Oh.... OK. I was a paid shill the whole time :(

pretty good effort. i love just the sheer volume of hype videos the michigan fan base puts out eery year. these things really help in the long offseason.

Can it please be Saturday now?
August 30th, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
This week can't go by fast enough. This video has me completely fired up! Go Blue!
August 30th, 2011 at 11:45 PM ^
Best one of the offseason.
August 30th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
Nicely done! You can sign yourself up for making a few more videos throughout the season!
August 31st, 2011 at 12:47 AM ^
great effort...thank you!!!
August 31st, 2011 at 1:03 AM ^
I haven't been able to get quite as hyped for this season as I have in the past. I think it's just a defense mechanism to shield myself from as much disapointment as the past 4 years. But there was just something about this video that has me on edge for saturday! I got goosebumps at least 4 times during that video!
August 31st, 2011 at 7:03 AM ^
Great video! The flash of the Victor's Walk makes me wonder why they are getting rid of it. To walk through a tunnel of all of those people would focus me on the task at hand and remind me of all the people that I was about to represent... gives me goosebumps to think about.
August 31st, 2011 at 7:58 AM ^
I'll not criticize ANY of these, especially since I've liked them all and lack the skeelz to make my own. I think I like the one with images showing through the archways and reflecting off the glass best, but they've all been 'tremendous'.
August 31st, 2011 at 8:48 AM ^
yet.
August 31st, 2011 at 9:01 AM ^
Well, my plan to have a productive work day is now shot. After watching this video I am too excited/pumped/amped/etc. to do anything that even resembles work. So I guess the next 8 hours are going to be spent watching and reading about Michigan Football. All in all I guess that is considered a banner day.
August 31st, 2011 at 9:36 AM ^
Very nice. Good tunes, and a great selection of plays (new and old). The finishing scenes are a nice touch. Thanks, buddy!
Go Blue!
August 31st, 2011 at 9:47 AM ^
This is probably my favorite hype video yet. Nice job.
August 31st, 2011 at 10:52 AM ^
video. The ending was great!
August 31st, 2011 at 11:14 AM ^
Great job on the video.
So now for the shameless pity-party. I'm going to miss this game because I'll be chain-sawing all weekend. We had two walnut trees downed at our cottage from Irene and there isn't anywhere along the Pamlico Sound that will have the game on. None of them actually hit the cottage but one of the sheds has some damage. Plus, there's no interwebs there unless I hijack it from the church across the street and a crappy cell phone signal as well. I'd like to believe that I can refrain from these boards and the media all weekend to watch it on Tivo but that's never going to happen.
August 31st, 2011 at 11:23 AM ^
I could watch this stuff all day...
Though its like the same 8-10 plays over and over of Denard burning holes straight through defenses, I absolutley LOVE it.
...but, Great music for the beginning, otherwise I would have rolled the music into something else at about the 2:05 mark...Great work
I think from here until saturday I'll become a hermit and watch hype videos and replayed games until my girlfriend threatens to leave me...

Simply the best so far.
