Cornelius Jones commits to Michigan
per both sites. Looks like a good second QB for this class
Edit to include links to articles because apparently I was wrong for not doing that.

I'm curious, because this guy isn't ranked anywhere, whether there is any highlights of him throwing? I want to see what his arm strength and delivery looks like. In any case, happy with the pick-up.
but that's behind a pay wall. I haven't seen any film elsewhere.
FWIW, he allegedly looked pretty good during the camp the last two days.
This was posted already Blah Blah Blah. Just minutes apart.
but the other post is better too. It has a link. Just sayin...
I got this from a user over at Hailvictors:
"Camp report is that he has very good mechanics, good ball spin. He made Elite 11 at the UGa camp as well."
Nice pick up. Done at QB for the Class. Having depth will be great.
... if Forcier / Robinson / Gardner work out at QB we have an athlete that can play Free Safety down the road.
Good pickup. Crazy that Rod offered this kid way back last summer even though he was just a sophomore at the time. Another RB, OT, and OG, and we're set on the offensive side of the ball.
Love the 3.7 GPA - two hella-smart kids in one day!
"Wassup's" commitment hasn't been 'accepted' yet.
Baron Coolman von Sweetness
awful. I found a link to MaxPreps and although it was his first year playing football I expected to see a longer "long rush" of the season than 28 yards. Check out the link,

Let's try to be nice, RR offered the kid because he saw something that he liked about the kid. I would hate to think that this kid is reading this blog and the impression he gets of UM fans is that they will insult a high school kid. Cornelius I hope if you are reading this you will overlook some peoples thoughtless words.
Yikes
Jones said a while back that the coaches at Michigan were recruiting him as an athlete. Now, that could have changed over the past couple months to where they said they want him specifically as a QB, but don't be surprised if we keep recruiting QBs.
My thoughts exactly
Brian has had him listed as a 4 star on the Board for a while. Varsity Blue has him at 3. Pretty good yardage per below.
Here from Palmetto Sports:

Spartanburg QB Cornelius Jones (6-2 185) committed Monday to Michigan while attending one of the Wolverines' camps. "I think it's a great decision," said Spartanburg coach Freddie Brown. "He looked in state first. He didn't receive an offer and he moved on. He's a great player and a good kid. He'll start out as a quarterback. He threw a lot of balls the last couple of days at camp. Their system is a lot like our system." Michigan identified Jones as a target back in the spring of 2008 and offered him then. He also has offers from Duke, Wake Forest and Stanford. Last season Jones had 1756 total yards including 1100 passing yards.
He also, according to a link provided by another poster, had 1 TD and 11 INTs. He's got some work to do.
accurate. The yardage doesn't match up with this article.
edit: Also Rivals reports he accounted for 10 td's last year, not one.
thrown a bunch of red zone INTs, because thats about the only way those numbers and his yardage figures could work out.
