Never get tired of that picture. Bo said in his book that he used to yell at the coaches to keep that Harbaugh kid out of the way and off the field all the time.

I hope he picks Michigan.
|13 hours 55 min ago||They like to do something||
They like to do something good before they go back to a SOL play. Make a goal line stand then give up a punt for a score. Block a field goal and then immediately fumble.
|14 hours 7 min ago||Why couldn't he have||
Why couldn't he have challenged the punt return for a TD because of the block on the back?

Why? Seriously, why? Even when things are going well, they have to do something like that.

Looking at the condition of the field remind me of the big house grass pre-2003.

Thank you for that missed tackle. GOD forbid you make them punt from their own end zone.

The Lions had a great season. But winning at Green Bay just never enters my thought process. A couple years ago, when the Lions played there in the final game of the season against a Packers team who was resting all of their starters for the playoffs and the Lions STILL lost 45-41, I decided it's just never going to happen.

On one hand, I really liked it last month when he said, "I want Michigan to be Michigan again, it makes the rivalry so much better."

You've got two games confused with each other.
In 1983, Iowa tied us 13-13 in the final minutes after faking a field goal attempt. We drove the field and Bob Bergeron kicked the game winner with 4 seconds left.
In 1986, our defense had Iowa's offense under control, we were leading 17-10 until Harbaugh threw a bad interception that was returned inside the ten yard line and Iowa scored to tie the game on the next play. At the end of the game, Iowa was driving until at mid-field they fumbled and we recovered. We drove and rest of the field and Mike Gillette kicked the game winner on the final play.
Both game winning field goals were in the same end zone at the big house. The first two featured here...

Unlike the MSU basketball team a couple years back, I think it's safe to have the new banner up before the actual date.
And it's beautiful beyond words.

Herbstreit isn't going to ruin this for us, is he? Hopefully he's tied up somewhere until AFTER Tuesday.

I love it.
They might as well bring out the M GO BLUE banner just so he can run under it and touch it.

Tressel said, "You will be proud of this team in something, something days in Ann Arbor."
By technically not guaranteeing a victory, he couldn't be wrong either way...unless all had stayed right with the world and OSU continued to play like crap.
Much different than Harbaugh's senior year where he said we WILL beat OSU and we WILL play in the Rose Bowl.

I'll live either way but I prefer no stickers. The best helmet in football shouldn't be filled with clutter.

Florida had never won a conference title in the history of their program until Spurrier arrived as coach in the 90's. Then it seemed like they won the conference 8 of the next 11 years.
Florida State and Miami were kind of like that too. FSU before Bobby Bowden was an easy win for any opponent. Miami was so bad for so long they considered dropping the football program altogether but then became national title contenders every year in the 80's when they found every possible convict in the state who was a good athlete.
|1 day 17 hours ago||Spurrier's Florida teams in||
Spurrier's Florida teams in the 90's were insanely good. And no matter how good or bad their opponents were, they always seemed to win games by scores like 52-7, 63-13, 48-0, 57-6, etc. The media was insanely in love them. I remember Gameday once featuring an entire segment to the Gator chomp.

I'm confused because a Spartan told me that Harbaugh's wife does not want to leave San Francisco.

Literally. With Carr retired and Jon Falk and Frank Beckmann retiring last year, the only thing left from the Schembechler era is Carl Grapetine saying, "Baaaaaand, take the field!".

And had Canham waited about a week after Dec. 27, 1968, we may very well have had Paterno and his "charitable" defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky leading our players on to the field at the big house.
Still pretty amazed how close we dodged that bullet.

I'm afraid if I celebrate before Harbaugh officially annouces it, the football GODS will tell on me and Jim will change his mind.
Yes, a true pessimist believes he has this kind of power. I must proceed carefully.

66th in the nation in rushing yards is better than I thought. Mainly because before Drake Johnson, all I remember is no run blocking by the O Line. I assumed we led the nation in one yard runs because of that.
Defensive stats being that good was, I think, a combination of improvement from 2013 and the fact that we played few explosive offensive teams. Although making Rutgers look like Baylor was no picnic.
The secondary being 21st is also kind of a surprise since they had a habit of playing 10 yards off the receiver too many times.

My 7 year old niece decided last year that she loves Michigan State. But it really has mostly to do with the fact that the rest of the family are Michigan fans and she's obsessed with being unique. So I have to put up with her cold stares every time I'm wearing an M shirt.
She doesn't know who Jim Harbaugh is but I'm hoping she'll grow to fear him over the next few years.

Yes, Jim Kemberline giving the middle finger to Bo in his final game.
I wonder if USC sent him fruit baskets after that game.
|5 days 8 hours ago||In the 60's, Bump Elliot||
In the 60's, Bump Elliot coached us against his brother Pete who went on to be the coach at Illinois despite the fact both were former players and teammates together at Michigan. That's much more "personable" than the current fact that Jim has an asshole-in-law who coaches at a fellow B1G school in a completely different sport.
Not even 2nd graders could come up with worse logic than your brothers. In the late 80's, Doug Mallory didn't say, "I'm not going to play for Bo Schembechler because I'd have to play against my dad who is the head coach at Indiana.". He came to Michigan because we were Michigan. And he didn't play for his dad because Indiana was Indiana. As far as I know, their father/son relationship went on after that.

Christmas of 1989, I got the best gift a 4th grader could ask for in a Nintendo. I went through all the motions in wanting it with all my heart, believing it was too good of a gift to actually have so naturally I wasn't going to get it. That led to a depressing acceptance in my mind until I unwrapped it on Christmas morning and nearly passed out from the excitement.
If Harbaugh really does come home, I picture the same reaction on my part but magnified by 100.
Jim, please be my Nintendo this Christmas.

I have to stop falling for that.

Happy to have 11 wins. But I don't think this team is as good as their record. The offensive line scares me (sound familiar?) the running game is bad. But they continue to do stupid things. The muffed punt....trying to even attempt a punt block on 4th and 23. The only difference is the stupid plays haven't cost us games this year.
