2023 Season Recap Championship Video

Submitted by cbutter on January 11th, 2024 at 1:21 PM

Question for the board. I grew up in the 90s and loved the old championship videos they had for the wings 97, 98 and 02 Stanley cup runs. I probably wore out the film on the VHS tapes and am wondering:

1. do these films even happen anymore? Been a long time since a team I’m a fan of won a championship.

2. Does anyone have knowledge if there will be something like that? Would love a 90 minute cinematic of this team with interviews, highlights, etc…

Thanks, and Go Blue!

I loved those videos back in the day.  They were always great season recaps narrated by Jim Brandstatter.  I didn’t have them all but I had a good chunk of them….

*Bo’s final season

*Go Blue 1992 - The drive for five

*Amazing Blue (1997 season)

*Michigan’s Heisman winners (Woodson hadn’t won it yet).

*Whatever the 1999 season recap was called (This was easily the weakest one where they rushed through game recaps.)

Unfortunately, I think these are a thing of the past.  Especially with Brandstatter in retirement.

ETA: Oops, I’m thinking of the wrong videos.  You must be talking about the sports illustrated championship vids.

I asked the same question in another thread. I have to think there is a big enough market for this to make it commercially viable. It shouldn't be hard to put together, I hope it is done.

I would love to be able to buy the broadcasts of the Rose Bowl and NC Game on Blu-ray or Vudu or something like that. Anyone know if that's a thing?
