Date Title Body
Probably not Hoke

There would be no reason for DB to fly into Santa Ana to see Hoke...there are 10+ closer airports than that. Very peculiar...

Agreed

There are numerous stadiums around the country where there isn't room through the endzone and plus, the really tight spot is only a few yards width-wise and then opens up.

Same reason

Same reason the Michigan/Alabama game is in Dallas....

Details

He currently holds offers from Memphis, Florida A&M, Colorado State, Bowling Green and SMU. Nothing too impressive there, but it sounds like a few other schools are keeping a very close eye on him, including Tennessee, FSU and Cincy.

According to Rivals, he is 6'5" 205 lbs and runs a 4.5 40. Definitely sounds like potential there. Didn't have a spectacular junior year, with only 30 catches for 400-450 yards and 8 TDs, but apparently he's a great jump ball threat.

He can play if...

He should be able to play if he transfers out within two weeks of the first day of class (I believe). After that though, he would need to sit out a year.

Though, since he played against UCONN, he will lose the year of eligiblity and thus only have two more years to play.

Ok

I guess that makes sense...didn't realize how crappy Iowa was in the late-90s. Also, was looking more throughout and in both scenarios 3 of top 6 are in each division. Still think it makes more sense to go geographically.

Thanks though. I figured there was a method behind the madness.

Downtown

Yes, there is a Bilbo's in Kalamazoo, but also Bimbo's (no relation between the two). It's located in downtown Kalamazoo on Michigan Ave.

Kalamazoo

Bimbo's is based in Kalamazoo and continues to operate out of the original location in downtown Kzoo. They used to have dozens of locations, but are now consolidated to just one. It is still run by the same family, Smilanich's. It is my favorite thin crust pizza anywhere.

Notre Dame More likely, he's heard the rumors swirling around ND and thinks he could be a leading candidate for that position.
Replay this evening BTN is showing a replay tonight at 8pm, so that's probably your best bet.
We have a new entry for the most uninformed reply of the year competition
I've bought I've bought a few t-shirts from him. Pretty high quality and I like most of the designs. He's a great guy either way and he gives back to the community tremendously.
Unfortunately Unfortunately, I cannot access the liveblog from work, so I'm going to have to be reliant on the Board posts.
You're not alone It's happening here too
Letter His letter has been faxed
Thanks Thanks
Yes Yes, this is correct. The scouts claim that the further he got away from his summer training with QB coaches, the worse his mechanics became. He had made decent progress over the summer, working with coaches and attending camps (ie Elite 11). But it seems as though he wasn't getting much help on his HS team. Hopefully all this means is that when he gets the right coaches behind him, he can improve quickly and become the QB everyone expects him to be.
It could This could give us a better shot at both Parker and Doresey now that they know Knight is out of the picture. Hopefully the coaches will ramp up the "immediate playing time" mantra.
Yes YEs, NSD is Wednesday. I'm assuming Brian meant the liveblog will be Wednesday morning, not tomorrow morning.
Unders I'll take the unders on each of those, but hope you are accurate.
Schiano not worried... Per ESPN, Schiano does not sound worried at all. "But as far as prospects go, people that we are going to sign or not going to sign, it will have no impact.” http://espn.go.com/blog/bigeast/post/_/id/7442/rutgers-loses-recruiting…
Great news This is great news. I wonder if this is a harbinger for things to come at OSU. Is it possible Tressel has kind of hit a wall in Columbus? He has been a phenomenal recruiter for years, but it seems that the teams performance has plateaued (given that plateau is fairly high). I think the top recruits see other schools as a little more flashy and perhaps more upside over the long term.
How? How do you know this, because I am very skeptical? I know Rich personally, and actually am married to someone whom he put through UM. He is an unbelievable man, but I don't think the plane is his. Not 100% sure, but would just like to know more. It looks pretty obvious that it is registered to a law firm. Now, it is possible that this law firm could have registered it for one of their clients. But in that case I'm guessing it is Taubman's. The law firm is based in Southfield and specializes in real estate. Also the "T" in the T&M Air could be Taubman.
T&M Air, LLC It appears it is owned by T&M Air, LLC, which was set up by Arthur A Weiss. Interestingly enough, Mr Weiss is an MSU grad, but the address is for a law firm by the name of Jaffe, Raitt Heuer & Weiss. Ira Jaffe is a UM Law grad, so it could be his. http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/bcs_corp/dt_llc.asp?id_nbr=B2925M&name_enti… http://www.jaffelaw.com/Bio/IraJaffe.asp?xsl=full.xsl
