Amazing. When they throw on first down the offense looks good. When the Defense disguises and brings more pressure they stop Penn State. Why would you stop doing what works?
What about a life long affinty to being in the NFL? Isn't the reason of choosing a college is to have the best shot at getting a job that you either are good at, love, or make the most money someday?
Lloyd may have seemed like a prick to the Media but was very giving to charities and to people on a personal level. My friends dad who was a big michigan fan was diagnosed with Lou Gherigs a few years after we graduated High School in 96. He was starting to get really sick so the family had a party for the dad knowing there wasn't much time left for him. There were some surprise guests that day. Into the house walked in Lloyd Carr and a handfull of Michigan players. Lloyd didn't have to do that. The dad wasn't an alumni or booster. There was no coverage of this or nothing to be gained. He did it out of the kidness of his heart. That made my friends dads day that day a little easier and life long fans of Lloyd Carr as a person.
What did him in was his teams shitty tackling, poor execution, turnover and overall bad fundamentals. His teams looked lost on defensive coverages and the special teams were a disaster. I'm not sure how many times I said wtf when a kid, muffed a punt, blew a coverage, gave up third and longs, missed a kick, had a false start at critical times, looked un prepared after a bye week or worse yet after a month of practice before a bowl game. The media, and some of the good ole boy michigan club may not of gave rr a fair shot at being liked by all but they are not the reason that the team he had was poorly coached. He deserved to get fired at Michgan. Im tired of hearing he didn't get a fair shot or excuses for him. Dude got paid big money to run the program. He should of grew a pair and sang rage against the machines bulls on parade instead of Josh Groban. That would of got everyone attention.
Spread or no spread. Urban Meyer or no Urban Meyer. The one really big thing going for us right now is the culture Hoke has created with his current players. He always has their backs and has made them into a Michigan Family this season Hoke has created a culture of higher purpose. It's not about him, it's not about an individual player, or recruit, it's about Michigan fer gods sake. Now our current recruits are buying into that culture and already are bonding as a team, a team, a team. Not all recruits will be college all americans but Hoke can guarantee an equal shot, world class education, and being part of the Michigan family. It's great top see these recruits already feel apart of Michigan. Love to have Dunn but no worries if he goes to Ohio. Michigan will be just fine.
I agree with cp4three2 Meyer proved himself at a couple of D 1 schools and won his way up the coaching ladder to Florida. Hes been very successful at every stop. Meyer is an elite coach. RR is an elite offensive coordinator at best and a good/ok/who really knows head coach? Wishful thinking on the ops part. Having said that I love our staff and what they are doing. Let meyer go to ohio. In Hoke and staff I trust. Beat Ohio!
Not sure what this means but I was at a wallmart in ohio yesterday and there were no Michigan Jerseys. Plenty of Ohio jerseys. It must mean that all of the Michigan Jerseys were sold out right? I thought to myself turning the tide oh yeah! On a serious note I hope the team wins on Saturday for a lot of reasons but especially the seniors. Since Hoke and company have been here they have stressed playing for the seniors and senior leadership. I have to imagine the seniors will be up for this game and with their leadership I'm sure the rest of the team as well. Hoke seems to have brought the idea of accountability to the whole program. No where to hide, everyone has a job to perform including the coaches. Hoke has been all about this game from day 1 on the job. The whole program will be ready this Saturday from coaches, to players, ball boys, clock operator etc... One program united and laser focus on beating those crazy nuts from columbus with class.
Go Blue
Go Seniors
Not trying to be a downer But Denards ints were ugly. We will not survive against good teams if this continues. Hopefully Denard will be more magic than tragic. When really good teams stuff the box and shutdown Denards running lanes, he will have to be a better decision maker. It wasnt just his lack of fundamentals but his bad decisions to throw off his back foot and throw god knows where? Make no mistake it was a team win but the defense lead the way in the second half.
I love it. I live in Toledo and most ohio fans here are un realistic asses. It's nice not to here them run there mouths for once. It's funny gas station attendants, store clerks, waitresses etc... all these people I don't know would stop me and give me shit for wearing michigan apparel and talk trash. Needless to say I don't get stopped anymore. They all just disappeared like all of ohio s wins last year. So I dont feel sorry for any of those nut fans.
