I have this debate with my friends all the time and I get both sides. But I don’t feel my degree or the university’s reputation is diminished by adapting to the modern (and admittedly screwed up) new normal in college athletics. There should be two sides of the fence here based on where all of this has gone. The academics and the standards that apply to students who come to play school and the athletics (especially football and men’s basketball perhaps unfairly) and the standards that apply to athletes who don’t come to play school.

DE is not a between the tackles runner and they continually tried to make him one last season. That's Mullings territory. Get DE in space where he doesn't have to analyze much, just one cut and go. If the offensive coaches are stubborn about this again this season, it will be mighty frustrating.

Hot take alert. Bringing his sons in did him no favors. Perception of favoritism with Jett (no D is OK) and overly protective of Jace in the training incident were two major reasons for him not being here anymore.
Don’t want to worry unnecessarily, but Jordan Marshall was obviously heavily recruited by OSU/Alford and said no to them. I hope he wants to be the next Blake Corum regardless of coach more than he wanted to play for Mike Hart.
Actually they are full of rationalizations that conclude this is OK. Kelly doesn't get along with him so it's OK. Kelly wants his own guy so it's OK. He underperformed on recruiting trail. Henderson is just OK. On and on it goes. Hope we run for 300 yards on their sorry asses in Columbus. Then let's see how the rationalizations sound.
The man just doesn’t look well. With that said, it doesn’t excuse anything. The performance of this team has been abysmal. Adjustments and improvements of any kind, regardless of who is coaching, have been nonexistent. The health issue simply shouldn’t be used as a free pass. But that’s exactly how Warde sees it.
