What dropzone are you jumping from? I got my license 2 summers ago. It's a blast, enjoy!

John Daly

Add vodka to your Arnold Palmer. It'll be a similar experience to your first time at Dominick's.

I'm also on board with the Bayern Munich president's sentiments.  Several sports - EPL, NFL, NHL - have already priced out loyal, everyday fans.  My parents didn't take me to Michigan games when I was a kid and money part of the reason why.  I had to wait until I was a student or started working after graduating to attend games.

Three good posts, snarling

Three good posts, snarling wolverine.

Historical perspective and the context of modern collegiate athletics help to advance the discussion we've all been having on the broader, complex issues of on-field success, fandom, and affordability.

Grand Ledge

I met an avid climber from Kzoo on the JMT who recommended Grand Ledge.  He said it was the best option nearby without going to Red.  Might be worth checking out from Ann Arbor.

Good luck in grad school!

Agreed, Bando. Nothing could

Agreed, Bando. Nothing could replace Michigan, but I like football (particularly college football). The Northwestern AD's bio talks about how he increased ticket sales and attendance. Sending out an email to grad students costs you incrementally nothing and is high margin for anyone who bites. I don't get why they don't do that it publicize the tickets you found (first I heard of it).

You posted 1 minute before I

You posted 1 minute before I did. I didn't know that was an option. They could do a better job communicating that to grad schools.

Ross has an informal session for international MBAs to give them an overview of American football and the importance of Michigan football to the university. I think it's a really good idea.

I'm going to Northwestern for

I'm going to Northwestern for grad school this fall. I don't plan on buying season tickets, but it's odd that I haven't received an email or info to buy student tickets. That's one of the first things did after I got into Michigan.

Had Deschutes for the first

Had Deschutes for the first time recently in California. I really enjoyed the River Ale. Think it's an Oregon brewery but hasn't seen it until Cali

Looks awesome.  I finished the John Muir Trail last week - the water was so clear it felt like you were looking at the bottom of rivers and lakes without any water in them.

Skydive Arizona in Eloy is one of the biggest and most well-known places in the country. Jumping from at plane is a great experience and a perfect way to fill a day off!

Have a blast out there!

I always liked "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate."

Wisconsin variant

How many Wisconsin fans does it take to change a lightbulb? Five - one to change the lightbulb and four to tell me how good Ron Dayne was.

These are the most enjoyable posts

The blog is good for analysis, recruiting, Michigan news, conference stuff, etc. But the sense of community you get from posts like this make it better than just a sports blog.

Allagash White is a good one

Allagash White is a good one for summer.  It's distributed throughout the East Coast (we have it here in DC).
