Coach Kehres is a Mount Union alum, built the program into a national power, and was also the AD before he was the HC, then went back to AD after retiring from coaching. He never had any desire to leave, and fully intended on handing off the program to his son (I asked him this very question on my recruiting visit, as did my older brother 10 years before me)
He is the cousin of my college roommate, and from my hometown. He came into my restaurant multiple times and couldn't have been any more humble, accommodating, and personable to every fan that recognized him
With this year not counting towards eligibility, I'm not as worried about recruits flipping from this class as I would normally be; this team is SUPER young as is. Now, getting a different coach (or staff) to develop all the young guys is a question. I still would like to see Campbell come over and bring his 3-3-5 with him. And before you neg away at the thought of the 3-3-5, know that Iowa st's version is NOTHING like Don browns or GERGs; it being studied by college and NFL coordinators alike as a way to combat spread offenses, which we do oh so great against.....
St. Norbert College...opened both the '04 and '05 season against them....it didn't go well....thankfully i missed the playoff drubbing the following year
Played against his UW-Whitewater teams (twice), and live close enough to Buffalo to keep tabs on what he's doing there, and although he's not my first choice, i wouldn't be opposed to this, as long as he hires the right staff
Went to Cedar Point on a whim one day with a buddy. Could only ride 3 of the coaster cuz his shoulders were too big that the restraint wouldn't lock. Ended up in Detroit for a Yanks/Tigers game instead
WOTS (per Sam Webb's afternoon dish) is that there may be some shuffling in the back end of the defense to help shore up the CB position.... Could be situational; could be a temporary thing til the other guys are ready ?♂️
I don't think they're doing an origin story, I think this is more focusing on year 2 and batman being 'the world's greatest detective', and with Dano seemingly playing a more reserved, deliberate Riddler, maybe a more cerebral Batman film. IMO Colin Farrell is super underrated, and the may end up the best part of this whole thing
Skunk Works...it’s about the development of the stealth bomber, SR-71 Blackbird & the U2 spy plane. Awesome read as to how they solved all the engineering problems to build these planes, and for someone who didn’t live through most of it, how terrifying the Cold War really was. Also, my father worked for Eastman Kodak and helped develop the film that let them take pictures of the Soviets from 13 freakin miles up
Holy hell I needed this. I really like College hockey, but was completely in the dark as to how 'recruiting' worked and all the different leagues and what not.. Thanks Brian
Funny you should mention this....i recently took in a Red Wings-Sabres game in Buffalo with my college roommate and his dad, both of whom are professors at Niagara. Rumor was Beilein the Younger was, um...."involved" with the wife of one of his asst. coaches. Maybe JB gets the head job at a small school (MAAC, CAA level) and brings his son along as an assistant to help rehab Patrick's rep. He's young and still has plenty of time for another shot as a head coach
The Long Island Schools have their own championship in football, but they compete for state titles in every other sport; it's kinda weird. NYC has their own thing they do, as well as all the private schools in the NYC/LI region. Most private schools in the rest of the state compete along with public schools, except for the Buffalo private schools, which also have their own thing......it's quite simple
The Packers run a base 3-4, so their OLB are basically DEs....more often then not, they actually run a 2-4-5 nickel where 2 or 3 of those LBs end up rushing the passer and moving around a lot. The only positions in the front 7 that are basically static are the NT and an ILB (or 2 if they're both on the field)....the DEs and OLBs are pretty interchangable
I kinda feel like whichever of solomon/Velazquez doesn't eventually win the Viper (!!!) job can put on a good 20 lbs and become the WLB... Keeping the speediest LBs on the field is pretty obvious after the OSU game. I think Velazquez will be the one to stay at Viper, just because he's playing baseball too... Not many 6'0" 225 guys out there in MLB (Mike trout excluded, because that guy is a freak of nature)
I pay attention to the NFL (I'm a Green Bay fan), but I don't get THAT feeling on Sunday before and during the game like I do for every Michigan game on Saturdays. That mixture of excitement and nervousness. Maybe it's because I played in college and I remember what it's like getting ready for a game, who knows? Also, I still follow. Michigan players in the NFL (except frank Clark, cuz fuck that guy), which is why I get shit all the time for being a tom Brady fan (I live in the middle of Buffalo Bills country)
I can't physically watch this game around other people, especially semi-drunk people who know nothing about football but act like they do.... So home, teaching my 3 year old how to hate everything about Ohio
Just reading the first few comments from buckeye fans on McMurphy's Facebook page is enough to punch myself in the face..... I can't imagine ever being that delusional
I was looking over the ND roster the other day.... They won't have a running game, their strength (WR) matches our strength (DB), and they lost their best 2 OL... I honestly think it's gonna be a blowout.... 31-9...the offense set up nicely by alot of turnovers, but still won't look like world beaters (but better then last year)

I work at a bar, and everyone knows the Michigan game is ALWAYS on. So i'll be watching the game while I work. All my employees know that I'm the worst manager ever when the Michigan game is on while I'm working, so it helps that my boss is a Michigan fan too
1 son about to turn 3....tomorrow we're gonna find out what he thinks of kayaking, fishing, and camping. Currently drinking espolon at the patio bar where I work
Not at all surprised by either of them, so I'm glad your 'surprise' was one of them.... I was thinking more along the lines of 'Beilein-to-Pistons' bad

David, you're from Rochester?
We also played Grinnell when i was at St. Norbert. where did you play at?

Taylor Lewan would like a word......

Milton looking competent.... With one ball thrown so far, even if it's incomplete, makes you say "holy fuck" out loud
Evans and Giles out of the backfield against LBs
Vastardis steady, making all the right line calls
Better DT play, so our DEs can go ham
Dax Hill all over the place
Vincent Gray playing well against Bateman.... He'll get his, but Gray needs to be up to the task

MOVIE: been mentioned a few times, but Event Horizon is a fucked up movie
Faustin, not Paige
Think of another 6'2" CB/S type who's been a 'dude' a few times this preseason... He'd be replacing the player moving to CB

At least no one has the dreaded change to an odd number in the 40s that has, recently, preceeded a transfer (Kareem walker is an example)
Best place he could've landed. Closer to home, and the 2-3 zone will help hide some defensive 'limitations'.
The fact that I've never stepped foot IN it?

PERFECT! Another way for me to annoy all the Bills fans here in WNY

You sonofabitch!
I'm a college football nerd who has a Michigan roster spreadsheet I keep updated.... I look at it every few weeks and just noticed he was gone
Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime.....is on my side . ...... Yes it is
I can't wait for Rutgers to lose to the University at Buffalo
I'm really interested to see how Hassan Haskins pans out. I like his size/speed combo and I think he was severely underrated as a recruit

Luckily my place has 30 TVs plus 4 huge projection screens, so there isn't a 'blind spot' anywhere.... But yeah, I prefer noon games

Haven't they shaken out with Crawford and Walker departing? Or is the more?
