Three Big Ten Starting Quarterbacks Are From IMG Academy

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on

Rutgers today named true freshman Artur Sitkowski from IMG Academy as its starting quarterback. He's the second freshman QB starter from IMG, joining Minnesota walk-on Zach Annexstad, who was named the starter a few days ago.

Michigan's starting QB, meanwhile, is also from IMG Academy. Fellow named Shea Patterson. Perhaps you've heard of him.

Perhaps WD has a database on this, but I'm guessing this is the first time in history that one high school has produced three Big Ten starting quarterbacks in the same season. I'm kind of glad we have a pipeline hooked up to that particular school.

It's so fuckin Rutgers to have their QB be the IMG QB who got benched for the walk-on that's now starting at Minnesota.

How do you do it, Rutgers? P.S. I can't wait for Rutgers-Kansas, that's going to be incredible.

It's certainly an interesting piece of info.   Although, reading the boards for Rutgers and Nebraska, it seems like more of a matter of them not having any better QBs rather than the freshman playing out of their minds.  Sitkowski, in particular, seems to have struggled mightily during fall camp.

Clearly, your degree isn’t mathematics.  Once you get a degree in math, there are four things you can no longer do:  add subtract multiply or divide.

I have this problem, a math degree, and it sucks for an engineer.  My engr degrees can’t cancel out the effect of the math degree.
