to see how this game shakes out. Nebraska has seemingly gotten to the basket at will. Ohio has seen a clear lack of actual offense, I.e. the late run was off of ad lib foul taking.
continue this small sample size? 15 minutes: a couple of poor touches with a good cross and great finish. Not too many exemplary pieces of play from the wing this game and he had the lone goal plus Klinsmann showed us how he isn't afraid to shake up the roster.
how well Holden and Donovon looked out on the field together. I also liked the play of Corona and Torres. Wondo obviously stole the night with the hat trick, finally. Back line was never tested completely.
will be the death of us. Coaches can't confirm a commitment at 2 in the morning, and insiders are sitting at their desks going "WTF?". I'm inclined to believe this isn't a commitment but a potential offer with the kid taking it the wrong way thinking he could commit.
and watched the first half highlights. Apparently he did so well with the U-19 squad for the US, that the entire coaching staff was singing his praises. Definitely a player to keep an eye on for the future.
I'm not saying he should be on the roster, but with his speed and experience in the Tippaligaen, why isn't his name called on more often? Easily one of the best pure wing players the US could call upon.
trick plays don't fool that defense very often. Pass plays against man coverage would be something to look at during the game. Safety check downs on Playaction are also useful against them.
and hope this will put us on a streak of good play. Brek Shea's buildup was brilliant and luckily we smashed it home. Howard was playing like a man possessed for the last 10 minutes. Good result and always good to break a bad streak.
Back line was solid for the most part, being as makeshift as it is. Biggest problem at half? Finding a way to control possession for more than a minute at a time. Also need to close down the easy passing lanes in the defensive third. All in all a solid half for a side without a lot of the top players.
has never done anything internationally. He has no breakaway speed, a meh shot, and the only thing he really possesses is an aptitude for putting the ball in the back of the net against equal competition. I'd rather see Gomez or Boyd up top. Boyd is the big imposing presence in the middle needed for the wide system we play. The thing is though, we need to control the ball and pick the right pass or we'll get burned with how inept our defense has been. Plainly said we have a slim chance to win today and have to hope for plenty of mistakes on the other side.
before middle school, but was never my thing. Probably because I was built like those marathon runners from Kenya but whatever. I was born and raised Blue, wacthing every single football game possible and listening to my dad rant and rave whenever a bad call/play happened. I ran Cross Country and Track for 4 years (PRed at 17 flat for the 5k), Soccer for 2 years where I played center/left mid, specifically my junior and senior years. During my last 2 Cross Country seasons, I ate about 4000 calories a day and gained nothing so if anyone wants a serious workout, start running. I played basketball sparingly since middle school, I've since picked it back up these last 2 years.
Altidore 6.5 Solid at times, lacks constitency as usual
Dempsey 8.5 Great goal, but too much space between him and the other mids to play linkup balls
Shea 6.5 Had good linkup play and helped well defensively, lack of composure on the ball and didn't touch the ball much in the 2nd half
Williams 7 Same as Shea but was very constient throughout both halves, also lost the ball and looked tired at the end
Edu 7.5 Solid defensively, good passing and spacing in the defensive end, like to see him push forward more often
Bradley 9 Shined brightly, showed composure that he lacked a year ago, great passes and slowed the Italian attack at times
Johnson 7 Pushed forward well, great cross for the goal, like to see him perform better on the defensive end but he was more than adequate
Bocanegra 8 Solid, played under control minus that ugly looking tackle, covered well, like to see him pick up more on the player movement but got lucky with the offsides
Goodson 7 Had some moments of joy and despair with him, great ion the air, but lost his man far too often
Cherundolo 7.5 Another solid game for him minus the crossup late in the 2nd, good long balls and some bad ones
Howard 9 Solid as usual, some mishaps because of the long balls by Pirlo and lack of communication on the backline but great hands as always
Kljestan 6 Played his role but didn't get to push forward
Spector 6.5 Got in front of the ball often but let 2 easy backdoor pass turn into easy oppurtunities
Boyd 5.5 Good energy but not in the right area, like to see him break down the D with passing on that 2 on 2
seniors exemplified how Michigan Men should be. Strong, hardworking, and never quitting. Ben Cronin and Corey Person are 2 players overlooked a lot. Cronin lost his knees and Person has been riding the pine since they got here. They didn't leave, they didn't whine, they continued along the path of education and getting a degree. Stu and Zach will forever live in my basketball heart for their play, Stu's ridiculous 3's at Uconn to keep us in the game, Zach's ridiculous work ethic up and down the floor. Love these guys and the way the prgoram is headed. GO BLUE!
if Ohio hired any reasonable coach other than Fickell. He was a very outside shot most of the process, we thought we had a chance if they kept Fickell but they didn't.
have done exactly what they needed to do. Get the word out that Michigan is back and get your players to fit your system. Hoke, Mattison, Hecklinski(recruiting head), Borges, Jackson, etc. all deserve a round of applause for the work they put in day in day out for Michigan.
This kid has been through a lot in his life and the Michigan family showed its support with donations and well wishes throughout his recovery process even though he was only a commit and not even taking classes yet. GO BLUE!

you can see where he's lacking in this system, he doesn't come back and play off the ball very well minus his ability in front of the net.

freaked out whenever Morgan got in foul trouble during games? Don't have that problem anymore.

making his way up the draft board.
WOW
Run through the offense better and then tighten up defensively. Come on boys.
Quick off the bench, eh?
from Stauskas and Albrecht early lead to that situation. Calm the nerves boys.
playing like a junior or senior at this point in the game.

just got upper 90ed. Got to pressure the ball and then cover, not the other way around.
coming up huge with 2 straight there.
Most likely culprit.
TomVH has confirmed it. Sam Webb is checking his sources.
Edit: Beaten to the punch, sorry.

would probably be likely if AVB wants to get all the worth out of his players.

Johnson has been serviceable but Williams is better as a winger instead of defending. Need his speed farther up the field.

comparisons on football. HALOL
"@S_Morris12 dropped back to the 35 and hit the End line, 75 yards"
That sounds like a good test for his arm strength.
and we'd have all 3. Great football family. Knew them since I was young.
they also have a 2011 transfer available and a 2012 instant transfer.
Wyandotte was senior laden last year, but they are well coached. Don't rule out Carlson.
Lincoln Park. So I'd say things are up in the air because of open schools in the area.
He needs some more work on limiting his TO's. And it's better to get minutes in for him now.

along with Shea. Those 2 need the ball on their feet, threading the ball across the field to our strikers. We should medal in the Olympics this year.
it needs minor refining. So I vote yea!

there was some "flirtation" with Michigan. Dymonte tried to work him away but to no avail.

Edit: Well I just suck. I switched to plain text and i still couldn't get it to post. Whatever here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txqiwrbYGrs
on and off the court is whar coaches should be. I'll take minor lapses in judgement but you can't just go Brian Kelly on your players every game.

which will be forever remembered. 5 commits and a win over the Akron State Bobcats! GO BLUE!
Alpine Spring
WHO?
Fox, Taco and Butt.
Edit: Probably not today. Recruits come in pairs.

mgoblog has done a stellar job so far and will continue to do so with the support of all its members.
beheaded Leprechaun in front of him. That'd go with the theme of the tattoo.
that Sugar Shane and him are probably going to be roomates, I would say that him decommitting would be statistically impossible.
