I don't understand that last

I don't understand that last bit about Penn State.  It's not that potential game time weather being bad  is some new development the weather in late fall has ALWAYS been like that in upper-midwest states.  Sounds like a denial excuse to me.

I think his flameout will be

I think his flameout will be Ryan Leaf or Jamarcus Russell-esque.  He hasn't shown in any way that he has the work ethic or the leadership abilities to be a QB in the NFL.  It's a lot easier to extend plays and turn and twist from pressure in college then it is in the NFL and he doesn't have the size to be a guy who can extend time while in the pocket he HAS to roll out.  he'll also need to teach himself to NOT rollout then just toss it up like he does so often in college.  He does benefit this year from a not so strong QB class and a lot of teams going int othe draft with QB questions or openings.  He'll likely go higher then his career output would justify.

No, he wouldnt be.  His

No, he wouldnt be.  His offense was a gigantic failure against any team that was above average and not named Notre Dame.

And he ended that 2010

And he ended that 2010 campaign with the most embarassing bowl experience in the history of Michigan bowls....

Hoke's team may be struggling this year people, but we wouldnt be any better if Rich Rod was still here.  Its not like Arizona is rocking the world this year thats why the Oregon win is such a huge upset.

Isn't it a little early for

Isn't it a little early for posting our ohio game predictions....

You say polls can't be

You say polls can't be trusted in that country, then go on to base your argument on those same polls :/

Down voted for saying what

Down voted for saying what exactly?  I guess I offended some Denzel Ward fan here.  Just pointing out the facts never talked down on the kid.  he was supposed to be a top shelf recruit for 2014 that's why so many schools started showing interest in him very early, and obviously he got swayed by that interest and the snake oil that goes with it.  That was basically the entire reason he moved to Florida was to get more exposure, raise his profile and be closer to Gainesville.  Well it kind of blew up in his face since he never took that next step, and almost all the top schools who were starting to offer him eventually cooled off on him big time.

He's never turned into the

He's never turned into the monster high level recruit many thought he would be.  Seems schools like Florida and Oklahoma really cooled on him.  Scout has him as the what 50th OT in this class?  oh well. You could go to schools a lot worse then Purdue.  Good luck to him.

When I think of Jordan

When I think of Jordan Diamond and Laquan Treadwell I think of very wishy washy diva types.  I don't think of that when considering Malik or Parker Westphal.

you should probably have the

you should probably have the cat guide in your avatar  help you find a sense of humor, douchebag.  I would really want a university to deny re-enrollment to a former player based off of one play gone bad?  Really?  Get a grip dude.

no

Crable should have been denied re-enrollment based

Crable should have been denied re-enrollment based on that late hit near the end of the 06 ohio game.... just reading his name makes me think of it and cry like a little girl....

Let the damn kid announce at

Let the damn kid announce at 4pm and just shutup people until then.  This is pathetic a 4 page thread already.

And i hope the jerks on this

And i hope the jerks on this site don't think it's funny and start posting fake announcements around 4pm.  Have some class today people we're all waiting in anticipation, don't make it more annoying then it needs to be by being jerks.

Where are all the idiots who

Where are all the idiots who KNEW he was going to head out for the draft when not 5 years ago we had an all american LT in the same situation stay for his last year... goes to show that alot of the time those who claim to be the most assured about an issue are the ones who end up not knowing sh$t.

Bell will get drafted... but

Bell will get drafted... but it'll be in the mid-rounds.  He has no real top end speed level and or bounce ability..... a situational 3rd down back in the league if I've ever seen one.

I wouldn't be shocked if Gholston doesn't get drafted.... I'm serious.... his laziness and bust label will follow him to the combine and unless he jsut blows the socks off the scouts in drills hes in for a very depressing draft weekend.

"Pride comes before the

"Pride comes before the fall......." Has one sentence in recent memory come to symbolize so much delicious irony as that?

We really need to get

ARGH my first double post.....  :(

We really need to get

We really need to get something straight here.... only South Carolina fans and bloggers refer to them as SC...... ever so rarely other SEC fans/bloggers may refer to them as SC when conversing with South Carolina fans..... to 98% of the rest of the college football world SC is short for USC.... that's just how it is.  Can we just call them South Carolina or "Game Cocks" from now on?

Nick always seemed like a

Nick always seemed like a really good guy and loved being a Wolverine.  Glad to see him finding success in life.

What is Brian refering to in

What is Brian refering to in the first line of this post?

I like these uniforms myself.  WOuldn't want them as a continuous choice in rotation but for a special event like a bowl I think they look good.  Plus I really like the Matte finish helmets.... much better then the usual shiny shit  that most special uni's have.

Or the kicked who committed

Or the kicked who committed to us only because he thought Harbaugh was coming...

Not feeling the love from

Not feeling the love from Laquon Treadwell.....

Ty Isaac was just waiting for

Ty Isaac was just waiting for a commitable USC offer... once he got that he immediately jumped on it and we were only in on Brionte Dunn because of the OSU mess and scandal.  If it wasn't for that there wouldn't have even been a a flirtation.  Those 2 had NOTHING to do with some inability to "close the deal".

To put things a bit back on

To put things a bit back on track...... I don't know how anyone who's followed Conley's recruitment can say they are truly suprised by this move or really angered by it.  I respect the kid for being above board with his intentions unlike others we've had to deal with but its been known that he has had a strong desire to look around since back in the summer.  He was committed to us for quite some time but unfortunately got bedazzled by some of the glitz being tossed his way.  It also confirms the thesis that Conley really only committed to us because we were his first/only big time offer.  Alot of kids would appreciate the fact that a staff was high on him and believed in him before it was reflected in his recruiting rankings but obviously Conley isnt one of those kids.  Oh well.

This was identified as one of the dangers in being a staff that emphasizes hard early recruiting and getting pre-season commits... it gives other programs the ability to swoop in and be the new sexy choice without having to do alot of the leg work.  I still prefer this staffs approach don't get me wrong, but this is one of the trappings of it.

yes, second tier.  They

yes, second tier.  They recruit and spend like a second tier program.  It's a joke that they're in the Rose Bowl this year, and Bielima has only coached teams with his players for a very small portion of the last decade. so a solid portion of that success goes to Alvarez imho.  Bielima is not a program builder which I think Arkansas is after

Wisconsin is not a top tier

Wisconsin is not a top tier Big Ten team, sorry.  They recruit in the bottom half of the conference and are only going to the Rose Bowl this year because of other schools being on sanctions.  I'm sure Bielima see's the writing on the wall so to speak especially considering the huge brain drain on his coaching staff they had this year.... if hes going to cut and run he needs to do it NOW because he won't be a commodity in a year or two.

I dont see the big deal.

I dont see the big deal.  Wisconsin is a second tier big ten school with an athletic department that just doesnt spend at an elite level.  Arkansas has elite facilities and an AD willing to spend at an elite level.  I dont know why people keep saying Arkansas is a 2nd tier SEC program.... they've been a consistent top 10-15 team for most of the last decade, they have very solid tradition, their previous coach (Petrino) was one of the hottest names in CFB with much better recruiting track record then Winconsin.  Plus, we all know Bielima is a snake so we're shocked that hes cut and run for more money?  ok....

"For all of the humor and

"For all of the humor and back-and-fotrth that the matra has created over the past 5 years, it seems there are enough who wish it would just go away."

This just isn't true OP.  The only people who want it to go away are a small portion of the people who post on here and they tend to be a certain kind of fan.  A portion of the fan base (and it's a small portion) want it to go away... but the vast majority either don't care or love the term.  And lets face it, if MSU didn't validate the terms use and definition over and over and over again then it wouldn't be such a big part of the rivalries lexicon.  It's like my friend Trevor used to say when he was hammered and was trying to rib people, "It's funny because it's true!"

Making voting that powerful

Making voting that powerful is something I disagree with for 2 reasons...

1.  It creates an environment where dissenting opinion on a certain issue is going to be discouraged.  If there is a raging topic of 10 guys just whining their butts off about say out of conference scheduling and you don't agree with their position, you're going to be far less willing to jump into that topic and contribute knowing that you will most likely be downvoted within minutes.

2. There are plenty of posters on this blog with ALOT of mgo points who are lazy and immature posters.  that means they will have just as much power to down vote and handicap others as the good posters with lots of points.

Jake Long stayed for his RS

Jake Long stayed for his RS senior year when after 06 he was projected as a top 15 pick if I recall.  Now I know what I'm about to say is a broad generalization but it does seem that top prospected OLmen tend to return to school more then similarly ranked skill position guys. or DLmen.

WHY IS BELLOMY IN THIS

WHY IS BELLOMY IN THIS GAME!!!!

apparently pelini doesn't

apparently pelini doesn't ever think his players commit any penalties.

Why can't we even try

Why can't we even try Gardner?  1st completion big whoop!  Bellomy obviously is not ready for action, just TRY Devin pleez!

how about a shot everytime

how about a shot everytime someone says, "but he's only 17!"

your liver would be pickled.....

Its BOTH!  Whether its

Its BOTH!  Whether its legally binding or not the kid is well aware of what his committment is supposed to mean and it shows a serious character issue if you go about things the way Dawson has chosen to.

I never said it is legally

I never said it is legally binding.  Its called a committment for a reason.  You are giving your WORD to that school and coaching staff.  If you wish to use extreme legalism as if it's the only standard which we live by to excuse this kind of arrogant dishonesty, well, all the power to you.

Your committment is your

Your committment is your word, your word is your bond.  Its because of thinking like yours that recruiting has become such a joke.  And if he really wasn't as Blue as he led on like he was he should never have committed.

I feel sorry for what

I feel sorry for what happened to his family.  His fathers passing is no excuse for acting like a douchebag and being deceitful towards the coaching staff, fans and fellow commits who stood by you.  I guess you never thought of that...

I've had enough with this

I've had enough with this lame argument.  When you accept fully paid scholarship offers and you give your committment to a multi million dollar institution some things are demanded of you.  Some things are going to change.  One of those things that's asked is for you to grow up and act like an adult in your dealings with said institution and how you project yourself out into the world.

If you want to just be a regular kid and goof/slack off and act like a fool pay for your own school or go work at taco bell or deliver pizza's.
