First, I'm not pissed. If your point here is to point out that coaches can leave for career advancement and I/fans don't care then I/fans shouldn't care when a player leaves for the same reasons and I am hypocritical, you are incorrect. Everyone on this board should make decisions to improve their lives, futures, and families without judgement. Keon Sabb is obviously included.
What upsets me is the use of money or advancement, real or promised, to influence player mobility when it is pretty clear the lack of any rules or guidlines allows for tampering with other teams under false pretenses. If money is the only thing keeping someone in a program than I would rather see them move on.
I understand its not how college football works right now. Hence why I am finding it difficult to invest in players. If there was a way to add more structure and rules to player mobility that made it at minimum appear like there was good faith between actors I would feel better about a lot of things.
Hopefully this is just a 'wild west' period as a new economic system finds a place in an archaic institution.
This new era of college football is going to be extremely annoying. I'm finding it difficult to care about players when I know there is little chance they stick around.
This is the hire to put me over the line of actively routing against Harbaugh in LA.
As far as I am concerned he has spent all the good will he brought the last few years. Leave if you'd like I get wanting to win the Super Bowl. There is no reason to burn the place down on your way out.
I'm not sure that internal promotions means bad network leverage. These are coaches Coach Moore has cut his teeth with and presumably knows. We want to keep the culture and keeping internal coaches is a way to do that.

Why shouldn't they be? Football success can be fleeting and no guarantee. Take the money and prestige when and where you can.

Even if it was coach Moore's script that guy is still in the room.
That game was was coaching and execution mistakes. The moment was simply too big and the pressure showed who can handle it and who can't.
Reynolds clearly can't and so its time to move on. Gibbs gets a break as a rookie. Campbell I am still not sure what to make of yesterdays decisions.
