I forgot that he redshirted a year and will be a RS senior next season. I definitely agree. He has speed that the other backs don't have. Hope we see more of him in the future.
Life will certainly be different a decade from now, but some things don't change. Looking forward to seeing this match up and cheering on our Wolverines.
Woof. We're loaded at RB for the foreseeable future. The battle for the starting job next season will be intense with Green, Smith, Weber, and Issac all gunning for it. Hopefully the competition brings out the best in them!
Great read. Often times we as fans get so caught up in the season that we forget about the kids who play the game. Articles like this are a great reminder that there's more to life than football. Thanks for posting!
The title of this article is such a breath of fresh air. I know this season hasn't been perfect, but one of the most frustrating parts of last season was that it seemed like we didn't see any improvement at all. The team just seemed to get worse as the season went on (with the OSU game being a notable exception). Now we're talking about improvements in-game! It's not much, but it's a step in the right direction and I'll take it.
I vividly remember listening to that game on the radio. Michigan basketball hasn't been the same since, and it's awesome. What Zack did for the basketball program cannot be overstated.
I'm not sure I agree with the extremes of your prediction, but I definitely agree that this game is a big fork in the road for this team. A win would provide some much needed confidence, and a loss would be a pretty big setback heading into conference play. Hopefully the team is firing on all cylinders Saturday!
I don't mind this. Nuss is installing a new offense with young players that he's working with for the first time. Slowing the game down gives the players a chance to settle into a rhythm early in the season. Hoke and co. have always said that winning Big Ten championships is their goal, so I wouldn't be surprised if things picked up once conference play starts.
Tough call, but I'm going with Taylor and Wilson. Utah has thrown for 619 yards this season, and over 50% of those yards have come from two receivers (Dres Anderson and Kenneth Scott). Those two guys have also accounted for 5 of Utah's 7 passing TDs this season. If we can limit those two guys, I like our chances to win.
Beat me to it. That was a very talented Utah team. They were the only team to finish the season undefeated after they beat Alabama and Boise State lost to TCU in the Poinsettia Bowl. Odd game indeed.
Ole Miss has a brutal schedule this year. They play 5 teams from Oct. 4th-Nov. 1st, and as of right now 4 of them are in the top 10 (Alabama, LSU, TAMU, and Auburn). I'm guessing those teams will prevent Ole Miss from making the playoff this year. On the other hand, if they get through that schedule and the Selection Committee still thinks they deserve to be in the playoff, chances are they will have earned it.

My apologies, CLord. The problem has been rectified.
We all take different paths to Michigan. No matter how you get here, the only thing that matters in the end is whether or not you stay.

I'm excited too. My only complaint is the stripes on the numbers. I think they'd look sharper without them.
White uniformz means poor tackling, right?

I love watching to OL open up lanes for the RBs. I know, consider the competition, but after last season it's a beautiful sight.
