10/19/19 Afternoon Game Thread

3:30 - 7:00 game starts.  Oregon - Wash is the one I'm most interested in but also watching SMU and Minnesota to see if they're any good.

Okay, here's the deal. I gotta go out tonight, so I'm depending on the MGoBoard to take charge

Make sure everyone's saying just the RIGHT things — positive reinforcement AND slams AND snarks AND quibbles AND Hot Takes AND OT takes

After one quarter:

Minnesota 7, RU 0

RU 2/4 in the air for 1 yard.  They are on pace to quadruple their passing yards from last week!

I really don't understand how a team can have so many completions that go for negative yards.

I'm not sure if playing Rutgers is going to tell us much about Minnesota.

Minnesota's schedule to date has been a real Glen Mason special.  He would always seem to start out 5-0 or 6-0 while playing absolutely no one, only to run into Michigan...

Watching Oregon-Washington over here.

The "intent to deceive" call is still hilarious because the play on which it was called was pretty fucking brilliant, I thought.

I'm actually...surprised?...that it's only 14-0 in MN-Rutger.  Given that MN ran for 300+ yards their last two games I expected double that.

If UW beats Oregon, that should officially take the PAC out of the playoff.  I don't see the ASU-UU winner running the table.

Whoever wins the West will be in, but it's unlikely a 1 loss SEC team gets in over all those others if they're undefeated.  Maybe Clemson gets passed if they just play terribly, but that seems unlikely.

VT vs NC is an entertaining game. I remember talking to a VT fan a few years back, and we both were like 'yeah pretty happy with the new head coach, should be great going forward'. Now as perhaps underwhelming some of Harbaugh's time here has been...Fuente is probably legit getting fired if they don't close the season out well.

I couldn't believe how loud that stadium was on Washington's drive. That's a Washington home game. Did all the Huskies fans sell their tickets after the Stanford loss? Better not be like that vs OSU in November.
