Please. If 50% of a company's Please. If 50% of a company's staff was caught stealing you would immediately question the institutional organization of the company. The chance that half of a blow-off class at Harvard came to the conclusion that they should cheat is an indication that the class was constructed in a way that encouraged it.
Fouls It seems like VCU fouls 10 times a possession but the refs can't possibly call it every time. What so you do about that?
How has no one suggested Brick House

1.) Brick sounds pretty close to big.

2.) With the new renovations, the Big House is mostly brick from the outside.

Here is MIT's Calc 1 final.

Here is MIT's Calc 1 final.  This course combines calc 1 and 2 into a single semester so you can imagine the pace difference.

Yeah Kovacks was a huge bust.

Yeah Kovacks was a huge bust.

Must. Pet.

I understand the sentiment

I understand the sentiment behind your statement that "Internet piracy is as wrong as stealing," but I just need to point out that the way you phrased it perpetuates a dangerous misunderstanding.

Copyright infringment is, by definition, NOT stealing.  It is copyright infringment.  In most of the cases we are talking about with SOPA, like downloading a song or a movie, the violation is NOT a criminal offense.  Copyright infringment at that scale is a civil matter.

The equivalence you are suggesting, between stealing a CD and downloading one illegally, is false.  If I walk into a store and steal a CD, no one else can buy that CD.  If I make a copy of that CD, and leave the original there, the artist can still sell that to someone else.  Now, you are right, in some cases there IS a lost sale still.  If I can download the CD for free, I am not buying it.  However, if the CD cost me any money, I may not buy it in the first place.  Every illegal download does NOT represent a lost sale or a stolen one.

Of course, in an ideal world, artists are compensated at a level that keeps them making art.

Different kids respond to

Different kids respond to different types of coaching.  Besides that, could it be possible that perhaps, just a little bit, the ESPN cameras were always focused on Rich Rod because his name was constantly being brought up for being on the "hot seat" so while pretty much every coach yells at a couple players every game, you say Rich Rod doing it more?

Also, I wouldn't call you a bad parent for understanding what coaching style is best for your kid.  At the same time though, you don't really get to be all defensive about someone suggesting you are a bad parent and then, literally in the same sentence, imply that bad parents let their kids be coached by Rich Rod.

Yeah I mean Michigan State's

Yeah I mean Michigan State's offense was lights out against Alabama and Wisconsin's huge beefcake of an offensive line totally steam rolled TCU...oh wait.

And aren't the Eagles the

And aren't the Eagles the epitome of the type of team we all got used to under DeBord/Carr?  A team that consistently produces above average seasons and playoff wins, but never posseses the innovation required to truly dominate and win a superbowl.

(No subject)

I also don't see a sample

I also don't see a sample size greater than 1...

Oh.  Great.  Because

Oh.  Great.  Because our new coach knows the date of the Ohio State game he MUST be better.  There are reasons to agree with this hire, but the ability to install countdown clocks is not one.

The question is, why would

The question is, why would anyone in our athletic department or LSU's tell YOU who we are talking to and about what?  In these situations there are about a million details that the general public doesn't need to know and having those details out there just makes it harder to do business.

Yes, because you are

Yes, because you are obviously better at running athletic departments and NFL Franchises than CEOs and billionaires...

If something looks ridiculous to you, it's probably because you don't have all the facts.

You realize Rich Rod wasn't

You realize Rich Rod wasn't the coach when we lost to App State ("The Horror") right?

1.) Due to the massive number

1.) Due to the massive number of people viewing, logging in, and posting on the site Brian was forced to implement a number of optimizations to ensure his servers didn't crash under the extremely heavy load of traffic.

2.) One of these optimization measures is to "cache" the front page, meaning that instead of MGoBlog's severs creating a new, specialized front page every time your account views it, it just stores one copy of the front page in its memory and serves that copy to everyone. This is much much more efficient, but it means you cannot get a custom front page that shows you logged in.

3) All of these additional features (posting, pos-banging, ect.) are computationally expensive for Mgoblog's servers to perform.  As soon as traffic dies down a bit and the servers can handle the workload, I am sure everything will return back to normal.

Long story short, Brian had to restrict functionality of the site inorder to make it efficient enough to deal with the incredibly high volume of people accessing MGoBlog as the result of the current coaching changes.

Intensive purposes = intents

Intensive purposes = intents and purposes

I learned this only recently so sorry if this seems to be harsh.  Go Blue.

Tom Bradley To Pitt

It's being reported that Tom Bradley has been hired at Pitt.

To be honest it doesn't

To be honest it doesn't really have much to do with the B-school.  Its a bit different than the other two people mentioned though, because Ted Kaczynski did continue a relationship with the University or give it millions of dollars in potentially illegally acquired money.  That said, can you really project anything from the decisions of one guy onto an institute?  In this case, no, probably not.

Well he could have done it

Well he could have done it twice, but that would probably be overkill.

Hmm..

Not to be a downer, but considering there are only 11 teams with quarterbacks to choose from, we are basically guaranteed  a spot.  I basically interpret this as ranking all the QBs in the Big Ten then picking the best backup.

I have a hard time believing I have a hard time believing that Northwestern won 6 games more than it statistically should have over two years. Also, what is the average luck over all teams you studied. Off the top of my head it seems like luck (as you have defined it) should be a zero sum game. If one team is lucky, his opponent is unlucky. Thus it seems everything should average to zero in the end.
What data specifically are What data specifically are you grabbing from the NCAA site? I just wrote a small web crawler that is going through and downloading rosters and team stats for every Div 1 team off of ESPN.com. I am sure it wouldn't be that hard to modify to grab data from the NCAA site. No need to enter by hand.
BC isn't Ivy League. They BC isn't Ivy League. They are catholic, but certainly not Ivy.
I completely agree. I just I completely agree. I just don't have access to that data.
This is interesting. I This is interesting. I wonder if looking up "Michigan Football" gives you all the people who used quotations or all the people who used Michigan and Football in that order. Searching Michigan Football and "Michigan Football" in may be considered different searches that google would collect data on.
Its not really about MSU, Its not really about MSU, more than it is about being able to objectively look into many of the subjective debates that go on here.
All the good ladies might be All the good ladies might be gone though...
Hmm. I dont know if the Beaten to the youtube punch. Move on.
Yes. Seems like the Yes. Seems like the four-five posters above have too.
Just another random thought. Just another random thought. How much would you guys give to be able to spend a summer with Barwis as your personal trainer? They should do some sort of contest where the winner gets a summer with the man. Or maybe it should be a reality TV show like boot camp or biggest loser.
I think the increase in I think the increase in competition is really going to be huge. Just getting used to competing every down for something that really matters (wins or playing time) is a huge skill to have. Any word on Big Will?
Its pretty arbitrary that Its pretty arbitrary that alcohol is allowed, but pot isn't. I am pretty sure that this came from the fact that early on in history, drugs like pot were seen as something that would pull people away from the church so of course they built this huge social stigma about them. Alcohol almost went this way as well during the prohibition era. All in all though, it seems fairly arbitrary to me. There are obviously a lot of tradeoffs to consider (economic, social, ect.). I just wish they would be consistent. There aren't too many reasons that pot should be illegal while alcohol/cigarettes are.
If only it was at Yost we If only it was at Yost we could do the "WE HATE COMCAST!" cheer.
I'll throw in another one for I'll throw in another one for Grizzly Peak. Even if the line is long on Saturday night, you can grab a table or a seat near the bar and just watch the game for an hour before you get seated. Last time we just ended up getting dinner at the bar.
