another plus... us stub hubbers will get dirt cheap tickets to home games next year. (Some of us simply appreciate just getting into the stadium, no matter who we play, without it costing a small fortune).
the backdoor cuts have not been there. There were 2-3 opportunities last night, but other than that, teams have done an excellent job guarding against that.
Also, McGary can't post up, yet. That's not helping things.
While some players are playing for their dream school, I have a feeling most are playing at a school which would give them the best opportunity to play at the next level. So, when the opportunity comes to play another year in college or get paid, they'll choose to get paid... because that's what they came there for. There are always some exceptions.
speaking of records, on Michigan's wikipedia records page, someone needs to update Gardner with the most passing TD's in a game (5 vs iowa in 2012? perhaps it was 4, but that at least ties him with the most)
Was anyone else dissappointed at how quiet the arena seemed on TV? Against Indiana, while watching on tv, you felt like that place was going to EXPLODE! Yesterday, while it was still quit amped, seemed a whole lot more subdued.
The intent was to foul him as quickly as possible, which people do all the time at the end of the game. When you are desperate to foul someone, violent fouls often ensue. I don't think the intend was to smash his head.
Having said that, I think all intentional fouls, like this one, should be techincals. Why should you be allowed to intentionally foul someone????
I could be totally wrong, but I don't think the Nebraska D was the problem. Sure, it was an issue, but not the main problem. Michigan had plenty of open shots-- but just didn't make them. When your shooting percentage is so poor, it's hard to win.
1) The funk that they went through vs. Nebraska carried over to OSU, except OSU is much better than Nebraska. The second half, they seemed to snap out of it.
2) the "lack of urgency" or "non fired upness" or whatever you want to call it that some people have complained about might actually be a strength. The team seems pretty level headed at all times, which I think allowed Michigan not to panic after they were down by 20+. An emotional low may have caused the team to fold after being down by so many, but lo, they came back in a cool, calm nature.
Agreed. Ted has been watered down. Although you can search for which talks have been most watched, which helps gauge how helpful/interesting they might be.
Northwestern is supposed to be very good next year... In my mind, I often overlook them when making predictions for the season. Even this year, were it not for a miracle last second Roundtree catch, we would have lost to them...
I'm not questioning the legitimacy of the pay, but I simply can't imagine working for a month at something and earning enough money during that time to pay off my house in its entirety. Blows my mind.
Does anyone really pay face value for tickets to non premiere games???? I got 2 tickets to Iowa for $50 each on stub hub... 40 yard line 20 rows up. Why wouldn't everyone do this???
I never plan on buying tickets from the Ticket office again...
I think Hoke is pretty aggressive in playcalling-- going for it on 4th down, fake field goals, etc. He's certainly not Lloyd Carr. I don't think Hoke is limited Borges at all...

it's still open... and it's actually a nice family place...(for a city run water park in the middle of town)

Jim Schwartz doesn't seem like he has the personality of a mentor, either.... to correct a troubled young man.
It benefits their program...exposure to alot of GREAT HS football schools in Cincy. Joe Bolden came from one those suburban cincy schools.
Getting into position and holding your ground is great defense. If you are plowed into, it should be a foul, no question.
Braxton=SI's cover. Denard= EA Sports NCAA 14 cover.
There, they're even.

I might be off, but #1 is just for bragging at this point. The wins count for the BT champtionship for sure...getting #1 is just a bonus.
yes and yes and yes.
the NBA is disgraceful. No effort defensively at all. I have to agree.
interesting insights. good article...
this is kind of odd.. why would the cover feature a player not even in the game? Having said that, I want him on the cover.
I know Morris doesn't have to play right away, but I wonder how Henne and Morris compare, as Henne had to start right away.
I still feel like he's cautious, offensively. Ie, not dunking late in the game vs. Wisconsin, missing the layup.

Roundtree would have set all kinds of records under RR, but lo, it was not to be.
>>is there really that much difference between classes ranked 3-5 positions apart???
I'm suprised someone here hasn't done an analysis of class rank vs. final poll rankings. Or perhaps they have and I am unaware.

Who would you rather have play if Gardner goes down, Bellomy or Morris? The Bellomy experiment turned out great last year.

Mealer will be at the Colligiate Bowl on the same team as our old pal, Sam Mcguffie (WR, not RB)
Denard Robinson=Percy Harvin????? Harvin has done well in the NFL.

Steller D with an average O= LSU.
We could do worse if we had to go that route.
Well, Green=Montee Ball= WIN! Can't complain about Montee Ball!
Green at Running back would certainly help...

wait... I didn't see Ohio anywhere in that bowl lineup of yours... Guess I must have missed it.
Teo hasn't been used on the offense at all.. which made Woodson unique as he seemed to excel on both sides of the ball.
