Some practice footage probably from Friday and/or Saturday.
...talks about how UConn hasn't been in contact and how they're out. (HT: UMHoops)
The next kitchen sink game is Indiana.
2011: Minnesota
2012: Iowa
2013: Indiana
We unleash things so that teams have to prepare for different looks, but we never actually use it in those big games.
The exception is Notre Dame, we want to get cute vs. them when they're trying to hand us points.
This is the problem, Borges is a BRILLIANT play designer. I think most people would agree that he comes up with some truly GREAT plays. However, he's a questionable play CALLER. I love our playbook, I think we may have the best offenseive playbook in the country. We just don't call the right plays at the right time a lot of the time.
“True loyalty is that quality of service that grows under adversity and expands in defeat. Any street urchin can shout applause in victory, but it takes character to stand fast in defeat. One is noise — the other, loyalty.”
Hoke might not have a headset on but I wonder if he isn't limiting what Borges can call when they game plan because he wants to play to play ball control offense to protect the defense. Of course, Hoke is beyond reproach and Borges is the only flaw with the program, I'm just saying.
I think Hoke is pretty aggressive in playcalling-- going for it on 4th down, fake field goals, etc. He's certainly not Lloyd Carr. I don't think Hoke is limited Borges at all...
Go Blue. That it all.

Passing plays are pretty solid ... running plays aren't designed as well apparently.
Given Denard's skill set, the passing game against teams like Alabama and ND was something less than solid. If you're going to give Borges a pass for not recognizing Denard's inability to throw into NFL windows, how are you blaming him for the interior line and RB's lack of execution?
My issue is that we couldn't line up and run the ball at teams like UMass ... Michigan should be able to line up, hand it off, and get 4+ easily against teams like that. Would you agree?
| Player | ATT | YDS | AVG | TD |

| Thomas Rawls | 6 | 42 | 7.0 | 0 |
| Russell Bellomy | 5 | 8 | 1.6 | 0 |
| Justice Hayes | 3 | 19 | 6.3 | 1 |

You take the information provided by Ft. Schembechler at face value?
May I offer you one unit of NaCl?

Looks like Devin will be our QB come Jan 1. Denard as a rb getting an outside sweep pitch must be Borges's new 3rd and long play call.
See both at qb, mostly devin. Maybe borges will call a complete game, not just a half, still can't get over that last game, terrible.
Denard Robinson......They're not going to catch him!
Coach Hoke, is that you?

I feel horrible for denard not finishing his career here the way it started.
Bears Beets Battlestar Galactica
I guess you forgot that he started his career having exactly the same role that he's had in the last two games while backing up Tate.
Willie Henry looks pretty big and pretty quick. Likewise some good footage of what looks like quick feet on Braden vs Strobel. Always tough to extrapolate drills to performance though, given we don't always know the point of the drill
Nice to see the younger players anyway, including Terry Richardson being Johnny on the spot for a pick
Young guys HAVE to take advantage of these practices, it's especially great because you have guys like Kovacs around to help give advice.
I'm really interested to see how the scout team guys progress.

Taylor Lewan said that the three interior lineman are also seniors!! he's leaving!
/Freak out
Fleet? Kovacs helping fleet with what? A 5'6 safety?
Also you can see a #26 on the defense on the Gallon catch...and Norfleet is the only #26 on the roster. Am I missing something?

Hopefully he was just helping him on the playbook or special teams.
Greetings from Bolivia.
"It's special how the real true people hang together. And if you don't support the program you're not a true Michigan guy. It's that simple." - Gary Moeller
Giving it "in the weightroom" and on the"practice field." Not sure how they are doing "in the community" but I'm sure they are getting ready.
3-time Wolverine
Really limped on that roll out at 1:00. Hopefully his ankle wont bother him come game time.
Only saw Bellomy make one throw and it was a INT too. yikes.
Denard getting a toss sweep is nice though. I think we will see a true Percy Harvin role for Denard. Hoepfully he tears it up and gets the NFL scouts attention.
Braden looks light on his feet for a 300+ pounder. Good to see Kovacs "coaching" younger players. Fingers crossed that in the future we see Kovacs on the sideline with a headset on.
"The goal, the expectation of this program is the Big Ten Championship"
Anyone else notice how Lewan said...
"I couldnt have won any of these awards without the three interior linemen, who are also seniors."
Was it a slip? I think he is gone, saddness...
Since Lewan is in his 4th year (like Roh) than he could consider himself a senior academically. Doesn't mean he won't come back for a 5th year and start working on a second degree.

"Anyone who isn't confused, really doesn't understand the situation." - Edward R. Murrow
To me it sounded like he was giving them extra respect because they are seniors, not including himself.
He said he could not have had his success without the three interior linemen--who are seniors to boot-- and their help.
I love Greg Mattison
Not thread worthy because it's paywalled and I can't even watch the video but Mike F (I know, I know) just tweeted a video of Derrick Green allegedly saying Michigan has the edge. We've only got a few more weeks until decisions are being made.
"And if that doesn't wet your appetite, you're watching the wrong channel."
You can usually find me bumping some Reggae, hammered on Higgins Lake with the goon squad. #HALOL
Go Blue!
Looks like Gardner is still a little hobbled, hopefully he will be 100% for the bowl game.
By the looks of practice devin will be starting qb for bowl game. They had denard in the backfield. All i ask borges is please pull out the whole kitchen sink in the bowl game. We have nothing to lose.
