That was painful reading. I have to put up with SEC homers everyday, so I'm exposed to this kind of drivel pretty frequently. Local talk radio down here can get really frustrating to listen to...although it is funny to hear Arkansas fans try and convince themselves that they're going to go 12-0 with JLS at the helm. Let's be honest; if you couldn't beat Bama with Bobby Petrino good luck now.
It's been interesting to see how much more frequently he brings up football in conversation the past few years. He was the poster child "wait until hoops" kinda guy until recently.
On a side note, we both can't believe that Arkansas hired JLS, even if it's only for this year. I live in the middle of Hog Country, and I'm shocked at how many people think they're going to win it all this year. Fun press conferences, though...
This should be a situation where MSU's defense will take most of the pressure off of their offense. I'm interested to see what happens if Boise gets the lead and forces Maxwell to have to make plays.
Interesting that both backs played on national tv today. I caught bits and pieces of each game...from what I saw DG looked more impressive. How much of this was due to a talent disparity in opponents is up for debate, but I would love to see Bryant commit to Auburn and make Green's decision to commit to U of M all the more obvious.

Celebrating with some Summer Shandy washed down with Captain and Coke. You have to enjoy the simple things when you live in Arkansas...
