Nice to see and hear. Now only about seven month to go until the interviews stop and the games resume.
|3 hours 21 sec ago||To be honest||
I wish that was all Ed Martin did. We could've self-imposed a ban on the 1998 tournament, stopped any further investigation, and not been stuck with Brian Ellerbee. I could have gone without seeing us flame out in the second round against UCLA.

I think if we have a night game in October or November, it should be against a worthy opponent. But in August or September, a night game would be enjoyable regardless of opponent just so fans don't have to bake under 90 degree heat. A 6PM game would end around 9-9:30, which should give people plenty of time to get back to their hotels for a night of sleep before hitting the road Sunday morning. And if it's a MAC team, there's a good chance a lot of those folks will be back to their cars before 9PM.
|6 hours 37 min ago||September noon games can be a bear up here also||
I remember the 1995 schedule was tough. I think we played UVA, Miami(NTM) and Memphis in August/September and it was damn hot. Those aren't primetime games, but it would've been a lot more comfortable in the stands if those were maybe 6PM kickoffs.

Not sure why you have Gary at DT, but if NCAA 17 had a version, he'd probably be a DT with an 85 grade. All of his physical numbers would be off the charts, so he'd probably lose a point or two as a DE...maybe.
Cole should be high 80s IMO and Peppers should be 95 minimum. I think the only low grade you could give Peppers is either awareness or pass coverage. His physical attributes (speed, athleticism, acceleration, etc) could arguably be 95+.
Nordin should be in the upper 70s at worst. When recruiting in dynasty mode, landing the top kicker in a class usually meant a high 70s/low 80s grade.
Also, NCAA 14 allowed you to keep 70 players. For dynasty purposes, I'd probably keep McDoom and lose one of the upperclassmen that won't see much playing time.
Everything else is pretty good and now I'm ready to download that roster to my locker and start a new dynasty.

I thought it had some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. Sadly, I spent the entire next day driving through Kansas. The drive from Denver to Topeka is awful without good music or conversation...of course that's minus the F5 twisters.

I'm afraid to laugh for fear that football gods will allow Purdue to run for 300 yards the next time we play them.

They may have finished higher than University of Detroit.

Awful having to drive through both states back to back. It's only interesting when a tornado is bearing down on you.

Uche: "started playing a few years go" -- So he's the next Ziggy Ansah
Everybody else: Like Tyrone Wheatley, but carved out of granite
Gary: I heard he was the one that sacked Adam and Eve out the garden

None of the kids can play it in my house without my supervision. They already ruined my Tropic Thunder DVD. They ruin that and I'll have to choke a child. I don't want to choke a child.
|1 day 10 hours ago||Only problem with the "little brother" comment||
He made the comment in Carr's last year without a ton of talent coming back. If he would have said it any year between 1968 and 2006, he would've been okay because the team consistently proved to be better and could back up the talk. He spoke the truth and the all the Sparty players moaning on Twitter yesterday proved he was right.

and all women in EL will be thankful.

That's not news. The schedule change is news.
|1 day 22 hours ago||Valenti threads are usually not good for the board||
Plus the OP when on an unnecessary rant. I heard the segment and Valenti said that he'd prefer the 6th year or 5th year senior over a true freshman, who he admitted will eventually be very good. It wasn't inflammatory if you take off maize and blue blinders. It was just ignorant.
|1 day 23 hours ago||I was listening at the same time||
You're not being fair though because he also said that Gary will be very good. The logic is pretty simple. Sixth-year seniors usually get more playing time than true freshmen, especially early in the season. So you would naturally think the senior would contribute more than the freshman. Unless you follow recruiting like we do, you don't understand exactly how impactful a non-dirty version of Ndamukong Suh can be as a true freshman.
If anything, I just find it funny that they spent more time trying to talk about famous CMU alums rather than talk about the actual big sports story of the day, which is NSD. That's cool. I'll tune in to the show after Valenti returns from his two day "vacation" after we beat them in football next season.

280-300lb terror who runs a 4.7 40 and can line up inside or outside. Damn, this makes me wish Fred Jackson could've been there instead of Shanahan to do some evaluating.

Mike Shanahan must not have received a fruit basket because he seemed so flat in comparison to Holtz and McShay.

Lou Holtz is a lot more enjoyable without Mark May.

Feels like the NFL draft. And like the NFL draft, at this pace, they'll be done around midnight.
Oh yeah, that's not snark because I'd watch this for the next 12 hours.
|2 days 7 hours ago||I thought it was USC 6 days ago...||
...and Ole Miss 13 days ago.
The uncle may be close to Clemson's campus, but he has an entire homegrown support staff at UM. I think this thing is a wrap and ESPN is just begging them to go silent until 1PM.
BTW, I do love the tie. After all these months, I don't believe he'd troll us.
|2 days 8 hours ago||It's just radio silence||
Instead of being down, I look at us not sending a LOI letter to Alaric Jackson as a sign we'll need that scholarship for him and maybe someone we weren't expecting (Tagola).

Hopefully he's somewhere measuring his jump off a cliff.
