The Roy Roundtree catch against NW in 2012. I was at at the game with a friend sitting about 10 rows up in the endzone from where it all happened. There were a lot of people that had left the game early thinking it was over. I remember having this feeling that Michigan was gonna somehow pull it out. That and 2011 were my favorites.
It didn't work here, but hopefully you can land on your feet as either a head coach at a mid major program or an assistant coach at a Power 5 conference school. Thank you for your years of service here!
First and foremost, I hope these "sources" are not true.
But if they are, wow. Talk about deja vu. If the Michigan administration fails to bring home Les because some people within the AD have a petty grudge against him (ie. Carr cronies), then this University gets whatever it deserves. You have a top flight coach who wants to come here, and we can't get the deal done because of some people's "feelings." Makes me sick. This should not be that hard.
then I hope they are all prepared for a mass exodus of suporters as well as a serious decline in revenue. This program cannot afford another lackluster hire. If not Harbaugh, then it better be Dan Mullen or someone of equal caliber.
news, the more important part of the equation is who we replace him with. This is undoubtably excellent news, but we are not out of the woods just yet.
the whole "WalMart Wolverine" conversation. I think most would agree that as long as you are a dedicated and loyal supporter of a team, it doesn't matter where you came from or where you went to school. The only reason this term even exists is because there is a certain segment of the Spartan fan base that is mad about the size discrepancy between the two fan bases.
Btw, I'm a GVSU grad who has a sister that goes to U of M.
Like every other Michigan fan, I absolutely hated Tressel when he has at OSU. However, if he could come in here and build the program into a consistent winner, I would accept him in a heartbeat.
Like many others on this board, I just want a winner who runs a relatively clean program. (ie. no embarrassing scandals)

If he goes anywhere it will be to a MAC school. I think he'd be a good candidate for the CMU job.

I had him starting in all three of my fantasy leagues. But really, I am just happy to see him doing well at the next level. He's earned it!

but what is more important is having the right coacing staff in place first.
I'm glad Marcus Ray isn't the one making the decision.
