Worst game plan I have ever seen.

Ezekiel, is that you?

well done

They really suck.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:00 PM ^
I'm surprised they never went to cardale. He probably could have broke some tackles and hit a deep ball. But whatever. Never trust a man with no chin.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:02 PM ^
Also on 11 warriors. "Michigan is better in all 9 units than the MSU team we just faced. They're at home, with a new head coach, with momentum. This could be bad."

I like their prediction

Other than the offensive line, I can't argue with that statement.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:08 PM ^
Pretty sure MSU's defensive line is better than our current one too.

And it's definitely better without injuries. God help teams next year with Michigan's projected rotation.
November 22nd, 2015 at 10:15 AM ^
Except we have injures. That's why he said "right now"
November 21st, 2015 at 11:42 PM ^
They lost badly to a just a little above average team.

Point differencial is not the only way to determine when a team "lost badly."
November 22nd, 2015 at 2:01 AM ^
i'm pretty sure it is.
November 22nd, 2015 at 8:11 AM ^
only 5 first downs.
November 22nd, 2015 at 10:32 AM ^
OSU was awful. State wasn't very good either. I'm wondering how much the rain effected this game.
November 22nd, 2015 at 8:48 AM ^
Really? So Penn State didn't lose badly to Iowa in 2004 when the final score was 6-4? Blowouts are not the only way to lose badly. Shitshow offensive games, even when losing close, are too.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:43 PM ^
With all our injuries I would say it is. OSU is capable of executing those concepts that worked for Indiana against us.
November 22nd, 2015 at 12:53 AM ^
Are they? Indiana actually accomplished something offensively against MSU. OSU decided to effectively shit their pants for 4 quarters.
November 22nd, 2015 at 4:40 AM ^
Effectively too

Two seasons ago we left a steaming pile on the field most games, and look how tough we played OSU that year. I would say they're capable of anything. They might implode, or they might rally around all the laughter and criticism and come to play. I can easily see the former, as they seem to have some issues, But I won't be surprised if they're shouldering a big chip with an axe to grind - I still think we can beat 'em if that's the case, but it would be a game.
November 22nd, 2015 at 1:25 AM ^
Well, on the flip side, did you watch Ohio State's game vs Indiana? Indiana kept them scoreless at the half on their own stadium and I'm pretty sure our defense is better than Indy's injuries or no injuries.
November 22nd, 2015 at 9:46 AM ^
...without any passing to at least keep them modestly honest.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:08 PM ^
I'm pretty sure they're just as emotional about their team as we are about ours. However that being said, I have a hard time seeing Meyer doing the same thing that he did today. However that being said, we should be favored and fuck em.
November 22nd, 2015 at 1:41 AM ^
I'm hoping he says let's do the opposite and sling it all over the field and never run because as Bob Wischusen can tell you, Michigan has a very highly rated run defense.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:15 PM ^
The wind was blowing pretty good - I'm guessing that's why neither team attempted to pass the ball much. But why not give Cardale a look? He's got a cannon for an arm and might have been able to complete some passes in that wind.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:32 PM ^
...but even a cannon's going to have trouble in 30-40 mph winds.
It was miserable down here today, about the way you guys describe the '08 Northwestern game. Not quite as cold (Columbus was probably colder than here though) but the rain was horizontal and furniture was blowing off the deck. You never quite get the full impact, watching it on TV.
November 22nd, 2015 at 12:52 AM ^
but it stopped raining in the second half. And it didn't stop MSU's backup from having a nice, efficient 12 throws.

I hate the guy, but comparing Hoke to Dantonio is just ridiculous.
November 22nd, 2015 at 12:55 AM ^
the comparison is michigan's gameplan v iowa 2011 to today's OSU gameplan. not sure how you're brining dantonio into it.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:19 PM ^
Michigan eventually ended up with 340 yards in that game. Nowhere near the offensive debacle that Ohio State just created.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:39 PM ^
When you consider how much talent OSU has, I would say their gameplan (which produced 130 yards of offense) was worse. Throw in their awful defensive gameplan of keeping their safeties 10 yards off the ball against a team with no QB and their horrible clock management at the end and this was possibly the worst coached game ever.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:02 PM ^
the thing that worries me tho is after this game and with Glasgow out, Ohio is going to pull out every run play possible.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:09 PM ^
this loss will affect how OSU prepares for us- it also gives us a way to shut them down. But do we have the defense to do it?
November 21st, 2015 at 11:13 PM ^
Thats what it comes down to. The only way Michigan has a chance to win is to shut down the run game. Including the qb runs
November 21st, 2015 at 11:54 PM ^
Geez man, outside of the 55 yard run we gave up about 150 yards on the road. Looks like improvement from a prepared Harbaugh team - wouldn't you say?
November 22nd, 2015 at 12:35 AM ^
Over half of PSU's yards came on three plays: the one long run, the TD pass, and the 4th and 9 completion. Otherwise they were under 100 yards for the day.
November 22nd, 2015 at 12:58 AM ^
and a great matchup for us since they play slow and our d line depth is bad. OSU should be able to do most of what IU did against us and then some. today told us nothing about whether we've improved against that kind of offense.
November 22nd, 2015 at 7:42 AM ^
OSU doesn't have a QB or WRs like IU, and if Elliott hssn't recovered yet then they don't have a running game either. IU is a different type of offense compared to IU. They'll definitely expose line issues, but not to the degree last week.
November 22nd, 2015 at 7:54 AM ^
Just watching the game real time I thought it was the best game I have seen him play.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:02 PM ^
Glad you're jacked up. We all wish it was for Indy. Agree with poor game plan. Now let's talk eggplants.

Beat Ohio State.

I know its stupid to think such things but gaining only 100 some yards and only 4 first downs makes me thinks something fishy going on....either they were thrown off by the new msu game plan (no Cook) or they wanted to throw the game. But that coaching was just crazy, never seen anything like it.
