the difference is depth. ive seen Dr. Philips in the glory days, Apopka, Edgewater, Venice, Pahokee, Lakeland, Charlotte and a lot of the other powers play in 09 & 10. But ive never seen a team and said "this team would run thru its class in Michigan". The Catholic League is as good as any league in FL, whether Orlando, Tampa, Gulf Coast, Miami, whatever. Same for the OK Red and the OAA division Clarkston is in. The difference is that FL has way more leagues that compete at that level.
The practice competition is a point that is flatly true, but outside of that Im unconvinced.
|2 days 21 hours ago||maybe||
maybe not. i was more impressed with Corley's centerfielding at FS than i was with his receiving. Allen Stritzinger won their 1v1 battle that i saw.
|2 days 21 hours ago||Hamler is leaving OLSM for IMG?||
Why? The coaches are not likely to be better, and having lived and watched football in FL for a few years, this is one case where the competition isnt likely to be better. The Catholic League is an eternal group of death, and OLSM schedules intensely OOC.
|2 days 21 hours ago||i thought so as well||
and said as much after watching them play de la salle. im probably alone however, in thinking he should play offense. what he can do with the ball in his hands is really impressive.

Temple is good, and is set up to be good. Rutgers is neither.

operating the batting cages and driving the mobile target around picking up balls. you havent lived until you've seen a rocket coming off an oversized/flex combo at your face from 25 yds.

without 2 more that are at least trustworthy, the possibility for horror exists.
|5 weeks 1 day ago||well actually||
i would assume that you, and everyone else with pointless replies, would be fucking their own chickens. seems like the grammar problem is yours, and i invite you to read about parallel structure to help avoid that issue in the future.

|5 weeks 1 day ago||curious to get a look at BSJ||
if he is good enough to start, could give lavert hill some positional flexibility. which, from the looks of that safety group, could come in handy.

|7 weeks 1 day ago||are you his dad? lol||
players disappoint based on results on the field without it being a referendum on their character.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||i agree with you fwiw.||
walker isnt even eligible to be a disappointment. there would have to be number of other guys with that label for him to even get a chance to disappoint.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||no...it isnt.||
freshman contribution is the norm for elite teams. USC in the aughts is the prototype example.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||really?||
i beg to differ. the basketball team has a few on the roster right now. derrick green also springs to mind, especially at a position where elite players can walk into fall camp their first year and claim the job.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||oh good grief||
thats how sports fans talk sometimes. lets not pretend otherwise.

|12 weeks 2 days ago||thats not correct.||
he had a very similar player in Kenny Tate at Maryland. Tate played a little LB, CB, DE at times and was an All ACC 1st teamer at SS.
