My wife and I live near Dusseldorf now with our young daughter and while we are a bit older (mid to late 30's) can attest that Germany can be a great place to live. Travel is super easy and the climate similar to a more mild version of the upper Midwest. Food and beer is relatively cheap, and the European vibe towards life is very agreeable.
I will say though that while speaking German isn't required at first, esp in a city like Heidelberg, B2 proficiency is often a requirement for employment:
Some other things that can take some getting used to:
-Most stores/shops are not open on Sunday, including grocery stores and pharmacies. Coffee shops and bakeries are usually an exception
-For whatever reason, cash is still king in Germany. Credit cards are not as widely accepted as you would think for 2019
-Download the WhatsApp app for your phone. Its a much cheaper and easier way to call/text
-There are Expat groups on Facebook and other social media platforms that are good for meeting other English speakers
-Deutsche Bahn has discount fare cards for the train for young people, I suggest they sign up for one as the train gets expensive if booked last minute.
Would it be overly difficult for them to play at the AA Ice Cube during the season when/if Michigan is at home, and at Yost when the Men's team is away?
In general though, I do agree with you Bando. Adding Hockey isnt like adding a women's soccer team when all you need is a pitch and a locker room. I can't see DB springing for a new ice rink either at the new South athletic campus on State St. or anywhere on North unless they partnered with the USNTDP to build a joint facility. Is there a shortage of ice space in the greater area?
Grass is Green, cocaine is White. All of these statements are self-evident.
Also, what the hell did that girl think was going to happen in these 'relationships' before she signed up? That they were just going to go to dinner or the movie and hang out?
I tihnk the idea here is to create two centralized weight rooms for all the teams that don't (or wont, after these changes) have dedicated workout facilities. Football has one, the basketball team now has one, wrestling and hockey have theirs, but I think that's it.
I can say that for all of DB misgivings, the man definitely has a knack for identifying the facilities that need to be upgraded. I am very impressed with what is being proposed here, especially the new multi-purpose facility for volleyball/wrestling, and gymnastics.
Cliff Keen was nice, but after spending many seasons in the student section there, it was obvious that the facility wasn't fitting for a national contending program. On the plus side, it was so nice to be able to yell at the opposing teams and have the ladies only be 15 feet away.
Also, the swimming facility looks absolutely fantastic. I don't know how they are going to pay for all this though...
My first game as well, and my nose and forehead were so burned that I got those nasty water blisters. Yeah, I know, I'm sorry for getting gross in here. I didn't care, I was loving it!
At that time, as a Southern California kid I never expected to get that burned at a football game in Michigan...fergodsakes.
I too hope to one day enter politics, but I never killed any hookers when I was at Michigan. Does this mean its too late to consider a career change? I mean because if not, I've got some work to do.
I cant get over how awesome this guys attitude is. I'm almost 10 years older than he is, and he probably has be beat in the maturity dept. I am so excited for platyers like this guy.
Can we petition for him to play next season?
Also, is there a chance that any of these 4 LBs are looking to enroll early?
In all seriousness, I think we all want every team at Michigan to be the best in their respective sport. I would hope that whatever trophy comes with this award gets a prominent place in whatever awards gallery is re-constructed after the Crisler renovation.
First off, I wish my very best to Ray and his family.
On another note, does anyone know if there is a junior college in Youngstown where he would could play for a year and potentally transfer back, assuming his family issues clear up?
The Comments section of that article is priceless as well. They of course range in spectrum from the "Blind-Tressel-Is-God" comments to the "Did Tressel kick your puppy, Jason?" and to the "welcome to D-1 college football everyone does it now stop throwing our BELOVED program under the bus, asshole" comments.
Columbus went from DEFCON 4 to DEFCON 3 overnight, Im sure of it. We need to get the Michigan National Guard to the border now so they are ready for when the bus-boy/trucker/janitor/OSU alumni start marching north claiming a Michigan-led conspiracy.

1989 UM GRAD, is the house in your profile picture 906 Greenwood Avenue in Ann Arbor?
If you're a member at Costco, their auto buying program is super easy and the pricing is very fair.
The only reason USA today is still in business is because they sit, unread, in hotel lobbies and on the floor in hotel hallways.
Ohio may be one of the few states where people actually pay for a USA Today subscription, so I see this as baseless pandering.
Completely OT, but is that 906 Greenwood in your picture?
Is that a picture of 906 Greenwood for your profile pic, 1989 UM GRAD?
5 more years and it will be precisely equal to Wooden's tenure at UCLA. SO basically Hutch has to coach at least another 6 years

Apparently there was a fake sign that went up last Spring about this same topic:

His house must be very well protected...
I think we shut down the internets.
Just amazing. This is the type of thing you think up when you are stuck inside for 5 months in the winter in upstate New York.
I'll be there, knit hat and flask of whiskey in tow.
A name like 'Blaise' is so 90's it's ridiculous. Excellent work Mr. and Mrs. Stearns.
I hope he has a brother named Tanner or Colt.
A Tim the Enchanter reference...classic Brian

The Creed shirt is classic!
Thank God for Wings...
Yep, no more Ferry field. She gone.

Adidas has to get these boys some new duds. All this UA stuff isn't good for their image...
That would piss off every SC fan I know of, for sure.
Also, seeing Desmond in Scarlet/Grey and ND Blue...Thanks EA, I havent clawed my eyes out since the fall of 2008. They were due.
Norfleet has them. Morris is growing them. This is what I like to see.
That's all.
So are we not going to be pursuing Ethan Pocic anymore because of this commit?
In the most literal sense!
Is Adam Bisnowaty a player we would even pursue at this point?

All Hoke has to do is wave, or point, at the Ohio defense and say:
"These are not the dreads you are looking for..."
You mean the Tech Comm professor for Engin100?
I jest, of course. Honor the man.
Is JVB part robot? If not, Robo-Henne has him beat.
That video, combined with seeing the new scoreboards in full effect, just made me a very happy Kampfer, I mean camper.
Also, why no Red in the video?
Congrats Brian. Guilt = relieved.
Damn Harvard for being the Michigan of the East!
Leaders and Best.
When did couch burning become a varsity sport?
Thats the only way I see MSU winning any NC's.

Slash a man's head while he lays motionless on the ice, and this is what you get.
Just to soon, man.

I tried a stunt like this with my parents when I was around 12, and it didnt make my punishment any less severe. Sorry buddy, not gonna work.
What a good game for Metrics and all of the men out there today. Fantastic.

Too many chicks in the video.
Wruck the Fistslappers is clearly the way we would need to spell it.
But what am I going to do now with my old "Buck the Fuckeyes" apparel?
'Wuck the Fristslappers' doesnt have quite the same ring to it...
