How much of that was the coaching though? I've seen good fundamentals (mostly) in tackling, it seems to me the players just got excited about making a big play. All I know is I wouldn't want to be in those practices for the next two weeks.
We also can't keep looking down on them, saying that it doensn't matter, our biggest rival is OSU. We've lost 4 straight to MSU and 7 to OSU. We should be doing anything (with class) to win.
Lewan is going to remember the punches and apparently he was upset by the taunting at the end of the game. I've heard a few articles about his mean streak, I'm looking for it to show up in a big way next year against MSU.
It's a combination but if one thing had to be picked I'd say it was the play-calling. Even though some good calls weren't executed, why did we call a play-action on 4th and 1? Why so many passes in the conditions. And why throw Gardner in for a play then take him out? It messes up the rhythm of the offense.
Unfortunately the athletic director will just be ecstatic they won, no one will question Dantonio especially after they just signed him to a new contract. It's all about the W for this team. No class.
For me, I feel privileged just to be able to listen to the words of Kirk Cousins on the internet. It is a privilege and an honor, just to be able to absorb his words and to be in the same state, with the opportunity to be breathing the same air as Kirk Cousins.
I'm genuinely interested in your reasoning for that statement. It'll be in East Lansing and while emotions will be high, I anticipate Dantonio will have instilled a lot of discipline into his guys.

If this was November or December yes, however it's October and we have half a season left. For the current time and place being unbeaten is a solid reason for a top ten ranking. That being said we could probably coin flip for most of the spots and have as good a shot at getting it right (see FSU, Texas)
In my opinion there's really no argument for anyone as Offensive MVP than Robinson. He has carried this team and impacted games (Yes good and bad) in ways no one else has. My two cents.
Illinois has found ways to close out games, something they struggled with in the past (see today VS NW) MSU's defense looks intimidating especially with how much pressure they got on the QBs. If Denard struggles throwing, they'll be able to overcommit to the run just like they did with Miller today.
we CAN recruit any qb. we don't neccesairly WANT to recruit any qb. Hoke has already stated we're moving back to a more pro-style offense where a pro-style qb would fit better.
you're definitely right that was my mistake. however here's to hoping some improvement in the linebackers or other positives to come out of this situation.
yea but it's still giving jones an early chance in spring ball to impress the coaches. i agree that demens will recover and most likely be an experienced starter (a real need) but this will be ga chance for jones and some of the other linebackers to step up.

Me and some buddies are carrying a door around with a sign that says "Please Knock." When they knock we give them candy.
Expect? No. Hope for? Yes.

I especially agree on Spielman. It felt a little biased, but also just points that didn't need to be made, a lot of empty words and bullsh*t

Flamebait.

I guess fans take after the teams...

Pretty much anytime someone says, "I might get negged", you're guaranteeing you will be. But hey I'll probably just get negged for this comment.

I wouldn't say it's solely on the coach. The Pats and Eagles are both talented. The players are the ones playing the game
Under the your logic, every coach who has a game plan but changes it because there's a better option is dumb.
And Minnesota

This is obviously what you'd want to hear from your quarterback, I honestly hope the kid plays, it'd be a good test to see if our defense really has improved.

Depends if we win the tough games (MSU, Illinois, and Neb). And if TSIO improves enough of their defense to slow down Borges beautiful play calling
My humble offering..
I'll probably get ripped for this, but Michigan '08 was pretty brutal besides the Wisconsin game.
Adding on to that, the defense's confidence has to be sky high as well.
Great to see Gardner in getting some valuable game reps and I personally was impressed with Rawls' runs, albeit against inferior competition.
Big day for you buddy?
Please keep making predictions. You sir, are golden
I love it when 113,000+ watch us get our ass kicked.
We don't have to listen to Holtz spew nonsensical biased crap since we're past halftime
Naked.. Hehe
I love this. made my day

a little early for that wouldn't you say? we have to see how hoke is going to handle that with roundtree and stonum this fall. but it's nice to dream
well said indeed.
