What are your thoughts on…

What are your thoughts on Bill C's idea? It seems to solve the issues of keeping rivalries and cycling through the rest of the conference pretty regularly.

There would been to be…

There would been to be realignment in order for this to work. Purdue and Indiana have to play every year and are currently in opposite divisions.

It is 99.99% likely to be a joke because Nick Young tweeted at him to consider USC. He was already down to a public top 4 so this is way more than likely him playing around.

He works for Syracuse and…

He works for Syracuse and occasionally with MGoFish on projects. I believe he was on their podcast a few times this fall/summer.

Week 0 has been a thing for a long time, this story goes over the previous week 0 games.

I think players should…

I think players should almost always enter the league as soon as they can. The real big money in most sports is in the second contract, so to extend their earning potential players should want to get there as soon as possible. Also a lack of film can be helpful as it would be harder to nitpick issues with a player's game and allow GMs to drool over "potential". Also the players can always head back to school after their playing career to pursue a degree.

I ran these types of pull steps in high school. We called them skip pulls and their purpose is to turn an offensive lineman into essentially a lead blocker. We would run it a lot on the play side when the tackle would block down as the guard skip pulled around him and would go get the play side linebacker. This allows an easy down block for the tackle and the guard the ability to get to the second level to cut off the backer. From the backside guard this could be used on a run so that the guard doesn't have the difficult job of cutting off a flowing, backside linebacker and instead can seal that man as a lead blocker through the hole.

The skip pull allows teams with athletic lineman the ability to take advantage of angles to get easier blocks, and help pulling lineman keep there shoulders square to the LOS if they're not kicking out with their pulls.

Notre Dame did this with my high school so they changed the color of the tie on the leprechaun and that worked enough. Also when I played JV football we played up at Pinconning and my coach tried to bet the chaingang guy a wheel of cheese that we got a first down.

Lombardi-I have friends who played hs football in Iowa against him who will swear he should wrestle in college as he simply wasn't good enough to be a B1G qb and were surprised he ended up at a program like MSU.

Day-Promising freshman but still a true freshman.

Macius - Senior walk-on transfer from Austin Peay who didn't win the job there in 2016.

McLean-True freshman walk-on from Pontiac Notre Dame Prep

It looks like his job was to pass block if someone came up the middle, and if no one does to leak into the flat as a check-down option for Patterson. With the safety blitz being so late, it looks to me as if he was starting his route when he noticed the guy and was too late to adjust to this.

Zach seems to have walked on…

Zach seems to have walked on because his dad played for Minnesota and his older brother currently does. IMO he's a walk-on only in that he pays for school. He early enrolled after attending IMG and turned down other scholarship offers. His story is similar to the player who chose to walk on at NW in the class of 2017 rather than a scholarship at MSU. Annexstad beat out Tanner Morgan for the job who is a redshirt freshman and Minnesota's only scholarship qb on the team.

It has more to do with the shoes themselves than who owned them. People like having rare things especially in collectable items such as shoes. The person who bought the shoes likely never cared who the player was, just that they can tell others in the sneaker head community that they have a pair of Michigan special release Jordans that were never made available to the general public. The rarity is what makes the shoes valuable and their condition, not the previous owner.

Podcasts

I love listening to college football podcasts becuase I can still get all my work done. My favorites are the Solid Verbal, Podcast Ain't Played Nobody, and the Shutdown Fullcast. It's always fun to get the entire landscape of the sport and know what's generally going on.

1 Michigan Louisville Alabama Washington (Big 12 doesn't have a title game so they'd be 11-1 Baylor and not make it)

Notre Dame Prep

As a fairly recent Pontiac Notre Dame Prep grad and former player, I'll be doing my best to keep up to date with the current team. The suspension from the Catholic League should be interesting as many of the scheduled teams aren't the usual opponents from my time there. The offense should be pretty good this year with an OT committed to WMU, a RB getting Ivy League looks, and a young QB who excelled at the Harbaugh QB Camp.

Thank you, I knew most of

Thank you, I knew most of this from attending Pontiac NDP but am too recent for this to have really affected me. Also a little sidenote, NDP was kicked out of the CHSL this year for refusing to play a crossover game against Brother Rice/DLS/OSLM/DCC/UDJ.

NDP

NDP runs a yearly summer kids camp for basketball. Walton attended Chandler Park Academy in Harper Woods which was the home of Harper Woods Notre Dame Prep. In 2005 Harper Woods NDP merged with Oakland Catholic in Pontiac. NDP's coach (Whitney Robinson) played for Harper Woods NDP before going on to help take CMU to the tourney. I also believe Walton and Robinson have some sort of personal connection, but I am not positive about that.

Tressel

That man sure loves his punts.

The LC

What about the LC for short? Easy enough and seems to flow well.

Pretty sure he plays DT. That's what his 247 profile says.

Re: Kyle Wiltjer

Bob Bender was on Bob Knight's undefeated IU team and also played for Duke in 1978 and lost in the NC.

Kyle Wiltjer

Kyle Wiltjer on Gonzaga wont the championship with Kentucky in 2012 and made the elite 8 last year. Also, he is still in the tournament this year.
