30 weeks 4 days ago	death to pom poms	It turned out OK, but, at the start the game there was a woman a few rows ahead of me in Section 5. She had hoarded approximately 8 pom poms and had clumped them all together so it looked like she was shaking an enormous fuzzy meatball on a stick, blocking the view of the game for many people behind her. One of said guys behind me, after the first kickoff says, "I gotta say something to her!" and convinced her that her pom pom-ing was excessive. She yielded and everyone went about their merry way.
35 weeks 4 days ago	Video boards	continue to confuse me. Not only is the person in charge of the game info such as down and yards-to-go wrong nearly every time, but the lack of stats until garbage time isn't helpful. At least twice my brother noticed the video board stat guy thought Umass was going the opposite direction and ticked off the yardage in the wrong direction.  Surely they can create an overlay-style system that puts one long transparent band across the bottom of the screen displaying down and yards plus stats. Then use the bottom mini video display for player stats (correct me if I'm wrong but it currently only shows Player X's name and class and hometown), and other game stats. That Sparty ranter has a good point, and in our case, that mini screen underneath the board can be better used instead of putting "DEFENSE" and "MARCHING-BAND" on it.
36 weeks 5 days ago	happier note	anyone else think the home unis looked super sharp? reminded me of the old school black/blue mix color from the 90s instead of last year's different shade of blue. unless it was just the sun playing tricks on me...
37 weeks 3 days ago	right where we want 'em	It makes for a more satisfying season when Michigan climbs the polls anyway. We all know #8 was too high and it showed. Being ranked high for week 1 is often a curse for Michigan (2002 win vs. Washington the lone exception I can think of). Can't wait to see them leap back into the top 12 to 15 after the Notre Dame game.  Speaking of ND, anyone else shocked they didn't somehow make it into the top 15 after winning one game? Those AP voters are losing their marbles! Or maybe it's the coaches' poll...
37 weeks 3 days ago	a few bowl opponents	I don't think anyone has mentioned the '05 Rose Bowl loss to Texas. No, it wasn't a beatdown but that was a loaded Texas team with Vince Young running all over us. 2006 USC was also extremely good, and a better team than 2007 Oregon. Hope I'm getting my years correct. Even though I was young that '91 FSU game sticks out. Whew what a team.

1 year 28 weeks ago	Anyone besides me wondering	Anyone besides me wondering if Adidas made crappy receiver gloves just like the jerseys and the ball slips out of their hands? I began to hope for non-gimmicky gloves that actually allow people to play football instead of just looking cool. But then again the running backs haven't been fumbling like mad, just made me wonder if Michigan needs an equipment adjustment.
1 year 29 weeks ago	Apologies if this was already	Apologies if this was already pointed out earlier in the thread...but, oddly, when I asked my Dad if there was an abundance of piped-in music to the point of ridiculousness, he said he didn't really notice. He sits in the corner opposite the band, so maybe in that part of the stadium it isn't as overbearing? I'm attending Nebraska and OSU this season so I'm curious to find out for myself if that's true. On TV though it is unbearable, since all the sound travels up and their microphones are like mounted on the outside of the press box so it catches it all really clearly and makes me want to watch games on mute :(

Gameday is gonna have to call in the extra security strength to handle all the couch-burning and violence.

The whole problem was Dantonio acting like that was the worst thing ever said about his program in the history of the universe, and making everyone in EL dwell on it for the last 4 years. Hoke kicked his ass in recruiting for next year and MSU will go 2-4 the rest of the way just like always, and act like that's a satisfying season. Little brother they shall remain for all eternity. Keep the saying.

But I agree, Oregon-ASU is a lame matchup. They said on their Twitter account they were gonna go to Pullman for Wazzou's game this week until they blew a lead in their game last weeked. That would have been more interesting IMO :(

1 year 33 weeks ago	If you were to buy the Kindle	If you were to buy the Kindle version, if you get annoyed at the lack of color just use the Kindle Cloud Reader app on Chrome, that is usually full color. Just as good as reading it on an iPad. And besides, the new Kindle Fire is coming in November so you'd be able to transfer it to that device!

1 year 34 weeks ago	Hilarious play	in the NDSU-Minn game. NDSU picked off Minnesota, ran it back a ways, the guy got tackled but fumbled the ball behind him and a teammate picked it up and ran the rest of the way to the endzone to close out the half. Minnesota is looking awful right now.
1 year 35 weeks ago	Difficult to decide which	Difficult to decide which team has the more terrible QB.  Harris is an INT machine kind of like Drew Tate or an ND quarterback Bauserman is like on par with Steven Threet, only worse because OSU's receivers are decent and he still can't hit them or get away from pressure. If the NCAA had any sense they'd just strike this game from the record books for this season

1 year 36 weeks ago	wondering	if there is any noticeable differences in the experience of watching a replay on BTN vs. ESPN Classic ? I haven't watched anything on Classic in years but I just discovered I get it on my cable service. Does anyone have a preference for rebroadcasts? Does it matter?
1 year 36 weeks ago	After waking up	and making sure we weren't all being Inception'd and dreaming within a dream that we won that game, I watched a repeat of Gameday Final 'cause I missed the opening segment with our game's highlights. Denard took that game over, and our clan of receivers have earned my proverbial helmet sticker for getting their act together and catching everything thrown at them in the second half.  tangent observation: I was so confused who was on the field throughout the game due to the jerseys not having names on the back. Plus, I didn't realize a few of the guys changed numbers so I was spending the majority of the defensive possessions figuring out who was making those big plays in the second half! Damn you, pizza dave!
1 year 36 weeks ago	seriously	ESPN really dropped the ball with that. Their big primetime game was starting and they didn't bother to bump the silly SEC matchup over to another channel? The alumni bar I was at in DC had to resort to putting the ESPN3 stream on, with no sound for a bit, until that damn game ended. I hate the SEC!!!
