And ordinary (non-church-leader) Catholics aren't off the hook either. Anyone who continues to willingly associate with that institution after what they've done deserves whatever criticism comes to them.

No one viewed them as the best team from the conference that year. OSU played in the rose bowl and even Wisconsin ranked ahead of them nationally.

Bryan Hoyer was thei QB then, although Kork was on the roster. Of course, he was also on the roster in 2007 when Manningham won the game in EL with a spectacular catch. He redshirted that year, but he was on the sideline, dressed and ready to play if needed.

Michigan State, on the other hand, will be lucky to put together a repeat of last year (7 wins) with the talent they just lost and their sketchy offense breaking in a new O-coordinator.
4 weeks 2 days ago	Fans of every other school	Fans of every other school can (and do) say the same, and there's a valid reason for it. As more talent gets discovered during the recruiting cycle, kids get added to the top 100/150/whatever list, and as a consequence, all others below them move down.

5 weeks 5 days ago	there are exceptions to every	there are exceptions to every rule. but the fact of the matter is that good players at national programs tend to get more national exposure, while good players at smaller schools fall into obscurity much more easily. all other things being equal, a player at a bigger program has better odds of being drafted higher than he would if he were at a smaller program. once you've watched the nfl draft as long as many of us here have, you'll begin to realize this.
5 weeks 5 days ago	It's odd that a kid with an	It's odd that a kid with an offer sheet like this would consider wasting his career away at a school like michigan state. if he turns out to be nfl-caliber, msu's lack of a national brand will bump him down at least one draft round (and probably more) compared to where he would get drafted if he played for Michigan. The best example of this is Jonas Mouton and Greg Jones. Both had similar size and similar skills, and they played against the same competition. Mouton was an above-average linebacker for sure, but Jones won B10 player of the year. And yet Mouton got drafted in round 2, while Jones fell all the way to round 6. Just shows what the power of the block M can do for you, and what MSU's brand cannot.
