They need not call me. After this F'n fiasco they aren't getting another dime of my money. Not now, maybe never!

Have heard they've offered him a grayshirt up to this point. Supposed to be checking out other schools including Miami.

His recruiting speaksfor itself? Check out how many 4 star recruits he's had over the past 8 years. 47-50 record as a head coach...now there's some cold hard evidence! I was an RR supporter all along until the MSU game this year, then he began to lose me. By teh OSU game I was gone. As much as I wanted RR to succeed I knew the odds of the factions were too stacked against him. We were completely played by DB make no mistake about this. National Search? Best man for the job? MY ASS!! I've had State fans calling me laughing at me over this whole "process." It appears we may be losing some members of our stellar 35th. ranked recruiting class. Hell, some of the kids have admitted to never even hearing of Hoke. Sorry guys I may never recover from all of these politics. And please stop with the "Hokemania" bullshit. What an embarrassment to all of the buffed steriod-laden great wrestling entertainers of our time.

I have 2 Nike replicas, a white and a blue. Both are number one. I didn't buy either because of the guys who have worn number one at Michigan. I chose number one because the University of Michigan has always been number one in my heart-that is the only way I've ever viewed the number situation. Regardless of record, coaches, players, etc. U-M football is number one to me!

Ones that admissions will let in! ;) (1. Kellen, 2. Hart, 3. Zettel) We are in dire need of inside LBs. Hart appears to be #1 choice on our board for RBs. Plenty of linemen on our board-Zettel one of highest rated.
|3 years 34 weeks ago||Back in the 1980s Oklahoma||
Back in the 1980s Oklahoma had 2 brothers who played on their football team. The last name was Hipp first names were I.M. and U. R. Unique to say the least. This school year I had African American students in my class with names such as: Damarius, Quantae, Quinest, Rasheed, Deonte, Aisha, jayQuan, AnDrienna, Martwan, Reosha, Viccorion, Ju-Relle, Fanisha, and Qua'jane(Qwa/ja/nay). Yes, these are the actual spellings. In speaking to some of the parents, uniqueness was sought after when name selections were made.

Can someone explain to me how this point system works. I received an e-mail that said I needed to accumulate 20 points before I could start posting threads. How do you "neg" someone? Basically, what is this point system all about?
|3 years 35 weeks ago||Coaches evaluate talent and||
Coaches evaluate talent and select guys that fit their system. Look at teams like BYU, TCU, Utah and Boise St. as far as star rankings go. They shouldn't be able to stay on the same field as the "Big Boys" yet look what Utah did to Alabama to years ago and what Bose did to Oklahoma. The rankings are purely subjective as is talent evaluation after the upper etchelon guys. Some pan out and many don't. Watched the Penn St. spring game replay last night and announcers complimented JoePa on recruiting athletes. This is RR and staff's apparent strategy. Recruit true athletes and then put them in a position that will be most advantageous to themselves and the team. Win and we will get our share of 5 stars. Until then, we will develop the athletes we have with the help of Barwis and company.

Protect our house...The Big House! Cannot lose this year. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Sparty must be beat!! UM 31-MSU 24.

I've seen elsewhere, right after the announcement of the addition of Nebraska, like your first example-the 12 hidden like the 11 currently is now. Probably depends on how quickly (if) they decide to expand further.
|3 years 35 weeks ago||Hopefully the European tour||
Hopefully the European tour helps this team bond and provides needed maturity out of the freshman. Plain and simple, if Novak starts much beyond the first few games, we ARE in for a long season. He is a typical role/bench player. A few minutes here and there to help provide a spark is what we need him for. If he is to be relied upon to be a major contributor, well we will probably not even reach 15 wins.

Good stuff. We definitely need a solid coup of offensive linemen in this class. Let's hope a couple more drop soon (including Zettel?).
|3 years 35 weeks ago||Good points. I coached my 2||
Good points. I coached my 2 sons from t-ball all the way thru varsity. They both played college ball. I coached my daughter in softball, I used to pitch fastpitch in men's leagues, from little league thru high school. She currently plays JUCO ball. I would never allow my younger pitchers to throw curveballs much to many father's dismay. Yes, a 12- year-old whom can throw a curve ball can be dominant, but he may also not have an arm left by the time he reaches the varsity level. Something else to add to this, it is not a good idea to allow kids to throw sidearm. They may like to emulate what they see on t.v. but this will surely injure there elbow. Finally, you do not want to teach a pitcher to throw directly over the top. This is not natural and will cuase shoulder problems. We always taught them to throw "in the slot." In other words imagine a clock-the pitcher wants their arm to come thru at about 2:00 NOT 12:00.
|3 years 35 weeks ago||Yes, it is a very low||
Yes, it is a very low finish. Thank God for gymnastics, tennis, softball, etc. We didn't get it done in the "major" sports such as football, men's basketball, baseball, women's basketball(?) etc. Even hockey was down in the regular season so if not for the other sports it could have been worse!

Frost has apparently made it known that he wishes to be recruited as a wide receiver. We're still on him, but may need to look at others to fill LB spots.
