It's Sun Belt versus Southland so perhaps it gets a pass, but in most other conferences, having pass defenses the likes of either Abilene Christian or Georgia State would be more or less fatal. That, and both teams are remarkably good and converting 3rd downs, but mostly because the other team is not very good at turning them away.

I'm not an expert on tackling fundamentals but pretty sure that wasn't part of it.

Is it a fair statement if we say that both teams did everything in their power to lose this game, but in the end, it seems like Abilene Christian just tried that much harder in the end? That is, of course, if Georgia State makes this relatively innocuous chipshot.

1. Why can't Michigan Stadium have great food like this. From my time as a student I remember it just being Dominos (maybe Hungry Howies?) and hot dogs.
