X-rays on Derrick Walton's ankle negative

Submitted by mgobluth on

Hadn't seen this posted yet probably because we were all too busy with Durkin posts, DCC ideas, neg-banging, and the LOLions.

Beilein said on Wednesday that the x-rays on Derrick Walton's ankle came back negative. They still don't know the degree of the sprain, or when he'll be ready to go. I imagine we'll get an update from his presser today before Houston Baptist comes tomorrow. I doubt he suits up tomorrow, but hopeful he could give us something on Tuesday night at SMU.

I wouldn't be surpised he we don't see him until maybe the Norther Kentucky game. Unless he's really ready for SMU, there's not point in risking the rest of his season until his back to being 100% or close to.

Negative is good in this case, right? So this negative is a positive? So his test results were positive, or A positive? I AM FREAKING OUT!!!

save him for SMU. hell I would consider sitting him for the first half in that game too in order to see if we can win without him. we need Walton 100% for the conference season.

Excellent, now let him rest up for a while and get in some good rehab time.  If there was ever a time for an injury, it's now.

Get well soon and come back strong, team is going to need him.
