Talking coaching selection, of course.
...of the decision to fire all of the assistants immediately as it's left the entire team without authority figures for the time being.

He sounds like some drunk in a bar.
Give me John U. Bacon any day of the week.
Agree 100%. Brian and John should have a show. "Cookin Bacon"
Touchdown Michigan!
Jamie's saying stuff like, "They say that they contacted Jim Harbaugh... But they couldn't have, because I know Jim Harbaugh, and if they would have contacted Jim, he would have taken the job... I don't really know that, but I feel that..." Just internally inconsistent, emotional, nonsense.
Jim wanted to go pro. Period. I think Jim and DB had been talking but when Jim's stock went through the roof with the end of the season and the Orange Bowl win, he got NFL stars in his eyes. He's a super competitive guy, and while bringing Michigan back to national prominence would be a big deal, going up against arch-rival Pete Carroll in the NFL felt like a bigger deal to him. He had the opportunity to stay in the bay area. The money was right. The planets aligned, not in Michigan's favor. I used to like Jamie Morris, but this is just drivel.
He only coached against the guy for three years.
not just "douchey" MGoBlog user, but now TRUSTED MGoBlog user
But they really fucking hate each other.
It is spelled HOKEAMANIA. Our coach is an ass-kicking American citizen, not one of the Beatles, for Christ's sake!
Yeah but there was clearly a lot of antipathy between the two. "What's your deal man!?"
True, only three years. But, it's not every day you go for two up 27 with six minutes to go.
don't worry. they have no idea either whats going on
Jamie with some strong words for Brandon. He seems to think Harbaugh was not contacted.
Basically confirms that no one really knows anything.
His only proof is "Because otherwise Jim would have accepted the job.... I know this... I feel this... I mean I don't know this by fact but I feel this."
Touchdown Michigan!
The slight shift from "know this" to "feel this" made me chuckle. Nobody knows nuttin.
Jamie's opinion is clouded by his bitterness towards the AD and administration after they shit-canned him last year.
There's no question he's done a tremendous amount of positive things for Michigan and the program but f'd up and payed for it with his job. He's obviosuly not "over" it.
If you remember Harbaugh "lost his phone number".
"A flute with no holes is not a flute. A donut with no hole is a danish"
Harbaugh... 5 kids, 3 women? Playaaaaaaaa! He can coach two teams, give me a break.
Touchdown Michigan!
The stories of JH's carousing are legend, but I'm not aware he has any baby mommas. Harbaugh has three kids with his ex-wife, one of whom is an adult and on the staff at Oregon State. He just had his second child with his current wife, to whom he was married before she got pregnant.
"He can coach two teams, give me a break."
This is funny, friend!
..."would be stunned" if MSC was ever on board with Jim/Bo because of his past comments.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The past week has made everything fuzzy in the head.
Christ in me arise and dispel all the darkness.
...correct. For misuse of loaner cars (to AD from local dealers) for non-AD business (and for not coming clean about it when confronted).

...read what I wrote?
LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
...Bacon says he was never offered the job (Martin and Miles never met). Morris: There was a communique from Martin to the LSU AD requesting a meeting, but the meeting never took place.
Regarding the purported Miles/LC imbroglio: can't prove a negative, but don't believe everything you hear. That said, it's clear that LC would not be in favor of a Miles hire, and that would be an obstacle.
LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
It dosent surprise me that Morris has strong words for Brandon. I am not defending the "process" and now the search, but Jamie Morris isnt really an unbiased source.
Go Blue!
I still don't get why these callers think a. Carr still is calling the shots, b. DB never contacted Harbaugh. And why does it sound like each caller is on the highway driving an F150? (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
EDIT: Are they really playing a Jay-Z song right now?
Touchdown Michigan!
...says go after Nick Saban.
Jamie: "Rick, you've got too much liquor in your coffee."
LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
He was caught with two strippers... Roll Tide.
Touchdown Michigan!
says we should contact Nick Saban. "No, wait, listen..." Jamie suggested he'd added something to his coffee.
EDIT: Did it really take me 4 mins to type this?
Jamie Morris adds no value to this conversation thus far. Just a distraction. I'm less interested when he talks, than when Bacon does. Come on Bacon, take this conversation over.... WHOA is that Angelique? I totally have a crush on any woman who knows more about Michigan Football than I do.
Sorry, posting my stream of consciousness.
Touchdown Michigan!
...now on the air. Can't remember the name of her last book.
Says she doesn't think this will come before mid-week.
Direct comms between Brandon and Jim/Bo? She can't confirm, but thinks there were. Bottom line, Harbaugh driven by desire to go to the NFL. Preserving his legacy of one of the greatest Michigan QBs of all time. Would be inheriting a team not set for success like his Stanford team. She never thought he'd be back in A2.
LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
any direct contact with Bo, then he's even more powerful than we thought.
...Jim Harbaugh channeling Bo Schembechler, not Jim Harbaugh AND Bo Schembechler.
From the M Zone:

The joke is now OBE, obviously.
LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
Wow, Morris is a complete moron. Between Morris and some of these callers (one guy actually said we should go after Saban) I'm losing my patience and more imporantly, my faith that Michigan fans have a true sense of reality regarding our program. If it weren't for Bacon I'd go back to sleep.
i only respect other superfans
...Pat Fitzgerald was part of DB's process to explore out of the box candidates.
She jokingly mentions getting sucked into flightaware like everyone else.
Tried to communicate with DB yesterday and got a "thanks, no thanks, don't want to talk right now" response.
LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
Also mentioned he's probably in Dallas, as he should be, where there are tons of coaches in town for that conference.
Really, I'm thinking Brian's guess about a secret candidate from way out of left field, is accurate (Me not Angelique.)
Touchdown Michigan!
...no doubt in her mind that he wants the Michigan job. If he interviews but doesn't get the job, it puts him in an even more precarious position with the LSU fanbase, so he's taking a bit of a leap of faith.
LSA '89 - MBB Natl Champions, Big 10/Rose Bowl Champions | @MGoShoe
As far as Bacon saying Miles was never offered, we could be getting into semantics here.
Otherwise, I would like to know Bacon's source. Something happened with Miles, and some MSM sources think so, too.
Bacon's source is any number of people within Michigan Athletics. Guy is just about as connected as any journalist can get within the AD. While I sometimes take him with a grain of salt, as he's very careful with what he says and how he says it, I tend to think he's usually about as informed as you can get about what's really going on behind the scenes.
Listening... The tone sounds ... depressing? Mention of Jim Harbaugh... grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Shoot me.
