Wisconsin - Better Than We Thought?

Submitted by BernardC on September 21st, 2019 at 2:10 PM

Obviously we aren't great, but is Wisconsin a playoff team?  They do look badass.  Are we going to look back on today in 2 months and realize that we were steamrolled by the (one of) team in college football?

Don't know what to think.  They're playing good, and were absolutely ready to rock and roll at kickoff.  Michigan wasn't ready to get on the bus, let alone play.  UM looks so fucking bad, you can't tell how good UW looks...

Seriously.  Better than we thought???  They may be good but we are one step above Rutgers.   We may not make a bowl game this year.  Entire staff needs to go.  They can't prepare a team to play.

They definitely do more with less. I'm sure we out recruited them over the past 5 years. They are better than advertised... we are significantly worse.

Dropping from 11 out of the top 25 this year. The rest of the schedule looks the end for JH.

Sure, if it makes you feel better. Paul Chryst > Harbaugh for sure. Every big game he's had on the road, with the exception of OSU in 2016, he's gotten blown out. Not just lost, but blown out.

Are you serious with this post? They are a good team BUT will get crushed by OSU and may lose to Iowa. Wisconsin would win 8 maybe 9 games in the SEC this year in BOTH divisions. I watched both Utah and USC last night and they could beat this team. Michigan is just poorly coached

I don’t care if it was Alabama. Michigan hasn’t been competitive, and that is concerning. I’m not going to freak out based off one game, but not good.

If you think this is just 1 game then you're just dumb. The same problems were apparent through the first two games and they're only getting worse now that they have to play real opponents. Stop fooling yourself. This team is trash.

Yes, they look good.  Has nothing to do with what is front and center for us right now.  Our team is not being prepared adequately.  Somebody is going to get hurt.  We have “a situation” now with Harbaugh.  This is going to be an interesting week.

Yes and we are way worse. No bowl this year. Not seeing many wins with this coaching staff. I see recruits decommitting. Harbaugh is lost in space.

Wisconsin might be good but we are much worse than we thought we were.  This whole program stinks.  Always talking cute.  Always talking the build up.  After 54 years of being a Michigan fan I’m wore out waiting for a great team to show up.

Obviously we aren't great

That's a vast understatement. If you still can't see that this offense is not even mildly capable then you're just choosing to fool yourself. We are 2018 MSU but with a worse defense.

Hard to say. Michigan has looked atrocious in all games this season and Wisconsin looks amazing. I’d lean toward giving Wisconsin the credit they’re due. It’s a beautiful, albeit painful, thing to watch their offense operate with efficiency.

One thing is certain for me at this point: Don Brown was a flash in the pan.

Gattis also seems like he’s just not going to work out. He seems clueless in these situations 3 games into the season.

The team is completely undisciplined, so that has to lead back to coaching.

This post is ridiculous.  How bout Michigan is much worse than we all thought.  This site is full of homers (understandably so, I am guilty myself).  Lets just look at this logically.....This is the worst combination of offense and defense from a Michigan team in the Harbaugh era.... BY A BIG MARGIN.

This team compares with the worst RR teams and Hoke teams in terms of execution and being prepared, but is more talented.  It is an absolute embarrassment to come out as a power 5 team, one with the reputation and money invested like Michigan has and get blown out.  Does not matter who you are playing or if the other team "looks badass".  We should never be getting "steamrolled" by anyone with the resources put into this.  This is an absolute joke.

Hopefully this lit the hot seat on fire.... guess who wasn't the savior?  Can you remember a more poorly prepared team with worse game plans?  I can't.  At least RR would occasionally move the ball.

No, after a bye week too.  Our coaching staff is woefully inadequate and at this point it is no longer fair to the kids.  There have been a lot of alarm bells going off, transfers, odd personnel decisions, weird press conferences, player and coach double speak.  I think now people will hear them loud and clear.
