I believe this crystal ball is not a good sign for landing Tatum, I was under the impression from Seth's recruiting updates that we're only going to take 2 RBs this cycle. But who knows
While true, I see 3 takes as a possibility. Behind Corum and THE DON, we really have no proven depth. Hopefully, Cabana comes in and takes the reigns like THE DON has, but we've proven what a strong 2 back system can do. Heck, we had a really strong 3-depth RB system with HH.
Tatum will be a 247 composite 5 star so he's a take at anytime, especially in the NIL era.
Tatum recently spoke to EJ Holland about teaming up as a 1-2 punch with Marshall so hopefully we still have a shot.

The offer was from a month ago, and we’ve gotten some good signs from Tatum more recently than that. The crystal ball is what’s new.

I'd imagine the staff is preparing for 3 maybe 4 RB departures after this season between the NFL Draft and Portal.
Tatum locked in his official visit to Michigan at the end of June, so pretty good guess that this does not affect his recruitment.
Also, not sure if it even needs to be said anymore but if Mike Hart likes a dude, chances are that dude is a #dude no matter the ranking.
Don't even want to know what our RB depth looks like this time next year. Corum and Edwards are most likely in the NFL. If Dunlap doesn't take the next step this year, could see him transferring too.

I’m all for young Kaapana. After watching Ben Hall in the spring game, with his clear high upside, and NFL build, and being impressed with CJ Stokes, running ability and make up, I’m cool with who ever Mike Hart targets. Cole Cabana too, though I haven’t seen him play yet. Jordan Marshall???? Looks really good to me.

Didn't think this needed to be said, but just because a crystal ball comes in for a player at the same position that we are recruiting someone else does not necessarily mean we are no longer recruiting the other player. Especially when the crystal ball is for a 3* and the other player is a borderline 5*
