Where to watch the game in Ann Arbor

Submitted by BlueMetal on

This probably seems like a stupid question, but I'm bringing my 8 year old and 5 year old up from Ohio tomorrow for the Men's BB game.  Going to spend the day in Ann Arbor.  I know there is bw3, is that going to be the best kid friendly spot to watch the game?

Yesterday I wake to blog technical issues and today this. I love this place. Enjoy your trip to AA with your kid. I'm sure most non-frat house establishments would suit just fine.

Jolly Pumpkin is a surprisingly great place to watch given that you're in a small group and don't have a kid with you. Personally, for the sake of other fans, I wouldn't bring a kid to a bar/restaurant to watch a game unless it's a place like an Applebees or TGI Fridays.

It's not quite in Ann Arbor, but if you drive down State Street past the airport to Saline, there's a Sports Bar called Oscar's in the strip mall in front of the WalMart.  Decent Beer selection, tons of TV's, a playstation3 for the kids and a generally low-key and friendly crowd.

Food is decent and reasonably priced, with everything being done competently.  When I lived in Saline, I went there all the time with my kiddo's.

BlueMetal, great stuff. I have no relevant advice but as someone who's sitting at the end of a week where I often didn't know which kid was getting picked up or dropped off at what place or what time, I empathize. Good on you.

Have young kids too. Pizza House is a good place before or after the game. Not the best tvs. BW3s for the game will be packed. If you go, go early. Expect stadium seating (like you have table for five), they may seat others with you. I've taken my kids to Conor ONeills on Main Street too. Fine for kids. Also Knights on liberty is an option. Overall pizza house or Conors could be good options
