What UM really needs

After watching a lot of  football I have noticed a trend that the team that scores the most points usually wins the game

Applying this to Michigan was a real eye opener- we need to score more points than the other team

So, how to do this? It came to me: playmakers (and good plays). Looking at the stats that is the only difference between us and the elite teams. Football is about getting into the end zone and a fast player is going to get there faster than a slow player- so we need speed.

Also, we need good plays. A coach who calls good plays is usually going to beat a coach that calls bad plays. We need to recruit smarter coaches.

While I, and I'm sure the rest of the board, appreciate your enthusiastic call to throw the ball to Ronnie Bell, I feel that your level of passion for this pales in comparison to the poster that dedicated an entire, poorly titled thread to his demand to throw every single pass to Ronnie Bell. Until you're ready to commit to throw it to him on every single down, your appeal is going to seem half-assed and fail to garner sufficient support to make a difference.

We need to get back to rolling out NFL quality OL that can dominate lesser opponents and hold their own against the big boys.

That's one thing I thought Harbaugh would change once he took over. It looked like they started to figure it out last year but this year has been a step backwards. Maybe we have the personnel to that with some of the young guys but it doesn't seem like we're ever going to win the LOS.

Our current group of WR are some of the best that I've seen at Michigan but what does it matter if the QB is running for their lives?

I am looking for a reference to this brilliant strategy in Sun Tzu's Art of War but alas it's not there.

Honestly, this is what's been missing the entire Harbaugh era.

We've never had a guy who can house it on any given play. Just having that kind of threat opens up so much room for your offense.
