Washington vs. Boise State Las Vegas Bowl 7:30pm EST ABC Open Thread
Thread’s a little early but wanted to make people aware this game is happening in case they want to watch. Thought it would be interesting in terms of next year since this is our first opponent. Sure, it’s a bowl game but still could be a good first look at our first opponent. Also interesting story line to see Chris Petersen’s last game against his former school.

Currently watching an undercard game of SMU-Florida Atlantic, a battle of 10-win teams. Fairly entertaining game so far with FAU leading the Mustangs 21-14 with a minute left to go in the first half.

Also won’t have Eason. Big deal.

He has another year of eligibility.

Let's hope he goes pro....

Eason is in and slinging it so far.

Yeah, I've got SMU in my office bowl pool, so I'm not thrilled right now. I did pick NC A&T over Alcorn though!

Good luck.
I'm fucked in mine. 0-3 so far and I had Utah State, who gave up 25 in the 4th, as my lock game.
December 21st, 2019 at 6:18 PM ^
Yup, I had Utah St. Sigh.

I also bet on the sharkfucker...and lost big time. Thanks, Jim.

Ditto.
Chips were not fired up today.
Grrr.

It was a competitive game but then SMU thew that pick to end the half and it quickly changed momentum.

I couldn't pick Liberty because...principle. So I've dropped that. SMU is totally shitting the bed here. The bed is covered in shit!

Also the last game at Sam Boyd stadium
December 21st, 2019 at 8:05 PM ^
RIP Sam Boyd Stadium - a definite old school stadium named after one of Vegas' old school casino innovators. Still has mostly dirt parking lots, even in 2019!
(Sam Boyd is to New Raiders Stadium) as (Downtown Vegas is to the newer hotels on the Strip).

Hoping for a CP win, seems like a good dude.

Boise state looks like a high school team size-wize compared to Washington

Chance to scout Washington ... OL is huge but really slow. They look bad in run game and vulnerable in pass pro.
Defense is big up front but LB are slow. DBs are excellent.

There will be so much change by the time we play that it's no point almost.

Kirk Herbstreit sounds borderline-dead in terms of enthusiasm for calling this game. Kind of weird, never heard him like this before.

maybe he changed up his meds.

+1. I like where your head is at.

not those 'meds', my friend.
December 21st, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
I dunno, man. Whatcha got?
December 21st, 2019 at 8:47 PM ^
Are these Big Ten refs?
December 21st, 2019 at 9:36 PM ^
Thank you Arkansas St for ending my bowl pool losing streak at 3. Especially since Boise St is also shittin up that bed. Nobody is ever using that bed again after BSU is done with it.

I figured Washington would win.
Washington is a decent team that lost a bunch of close games that didn't go their way, and Boise State is not a Power 5 team.
Eason is very accurate if he has a lot of time, but inaccurate if he gets pressure, and Washington does let through some pressure.
