This was the largest margin of victory in this series for either side since Michigan won 49-3 in 2002

Wish we hung 70 on them but I'll take it!
November 16th, 2019 at 4:24 PM ^
Definitely could have. I was disappointed we didn’t get 50

Guys Girls.... I am a happy man! GO BLUE!!
November 16th, 2019 at 4:20 PM ^
There's a reason why they celebrate that 2015 game so much - they knew, right then, that order was going to be restored and they weren't going to be winning many more against us.
November 16th, 2019 at 4:20 PM ^
I like it! Go Blue!!
November 16th, 2019 at 4:22 PM ^
Can’t see them having a real shot against us for at least two more years. Could be longer than that, but it’s just hard to project talent more than a year or two out.
November 16th, 2019 at 4:26 PM ^
And this win for us goes a long way in swinging in-state talent as well.
November 16th, 2019 at 4:23 PM ^
Shoulda been about 62-0 but we can plan for that next year
November 16th, 2019 at 4:24 PM ^
There’s the late Hoke era again. The symptoms popping up for this MSU program are baaaaaad.
“You’ve got to go back Brady Hoke and Bobby Williams to find coaches losing like this” is not a ringing endorsement of Dantonio. And my next sentence, not original to me at all, says everything about Dantonio that we need to know:
I hope he comes back next year.

What's REALLY sad is a couple of Free Press people are actually comparing him to John L. Smith now.
November 16th, 2019 at 4:28 PM ^
Why? Did he smack himself after the game?
November 16th, 2019 at 4:40 PM ^
He should have.
November 16th, 2019 at 4:31 PM ^
John L. never got embarassed like this. Two of his four losses were in overtime and only his last one (2006) was by more than one score.

He was the most likable coach they've had in the last generation. A little weird, but seemed like a good guy with integrity.
November 16th, 2019 at 4:27 PM ^
MD is the absolute best they could hope for in a coach... it’s precious to me that they think they can hire a replacement capable of getting them to over perform consistently the way Dantonino did. Pride comes before something something dark side...
Edit: Something, something complete...

Just watched that game again. Man, Navarre had a cannon.

I finally unclenched . . . diamonds for everyone!

Ah the Jeff Smoker gets suspended for doing coke game. Did Dowdel or Stanton get the start? That was a glorious game.

"Smoker will smoke anything!"

Smoke green - Snort white was chanted by many that October day.

I remember yelling “the only bowl game you’re going to is the Smoke-A-Bowl!”

2002 was the Bobby Williams farewell tour. This was his final game.
The Big House is a place where many visiting coaches have sadly lost employment shortly after their visit.
November 16th, 2019 at 4:50 PM ^
The 2006 game could have gotten waaaay worse than the 31-13 outcome. Once we were up 24-0 at halftime, Carr played ten times more conservative than he usually did. Even slappy Mike Valenti said Michigan could have scored a 100 if we at least tried in the second half.
Maybe Carr was eager to get home and watch the Tigers beat the Yankees in the playoffs.

I asked for 60 mins of pain, and that's exactly what MSU got.
Second most satisfying win of the Harbaugh era thus far for me.
November 16th, 2019 at 6:59 PM ^
Mad Hatter, just curious what your #1 most satisfying win has been?
November 16th, 2019 at 7:06 PM ^
I’m guessing PSU 2018
November 16th, 2019 at 8:48 PM ^
Notre Dame this year. PSU last year and 2016 MSU after that.
November 17th, 2019 at 10:58 AM ^
ND this year was pretty gratifying. That win came at the perfect time in the season. Was going to guess one of the PSU blowouts.

46 point MOV gives us something to aim for next year in their house. They aren't getting any better with those recruiting classes they've gotten lately. It's not over, it's never over. More beat downs for years to come.
November 16th, 2019 at 5:14 PM ^
No handshakes after the last play of the game. No love lost between these two teams. Go Blue.
November 16th, 2019 at 5:29 PM ^
Which is a polite way of saying "the MSU coaches are very immature."
November 16th, 2019 at 5:04 PM ^
"Mark have you lost this team?"
November 16th, 2019 at 5:10 PM ^
I am psyched about the win and also really happy about how healthy the team seems to be at this point in the season. I know some guys are dinged up, but I believe everyone who left the field with an injury today returned to the game. Am I right about this?
November 16th, 2019 at 5:12 PM ^
Wish with the 2nd and 3rd down stop harbaugh would called timeout to try make 51-10 but it is what it is, harbaugh would be getting shit from media for it
November 16th, 2019 at 5:27 PM ^
I wanted that too. But I honestly would worry that Mork would flat out order his guys to blatantly injure someone. I’m not talking the shit they pull with regularity, I’m talking about just flat out assault with no attempt to even make it look like a football play. I seriously wouldn’t put it past that sorry excuse for a human being.
November 16th, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
And both games ended each coaches tenure most likely, than again I hope Mork stays on a couple more years. He deserves a couple more beatings.
