It's not only Purdue fans who are voting against John Beilein, it's Michigan State, Notre Dame and Ohio State fans, and it's also the West Virginia fans who still have Bob Huggins in the race.

After Tom Izzo and Mike Brey were eliminated, where do you think the Michigan State and Notre Dame fans went?  If they stayed in the voting, they were voting for Matt Painter.  Similarly, with Thad Matta fading rapidly, Ohio State fans who continued to vote had their all-too-obvious choice for their votes.

This voting has nothing to do with the merits of the ChadTough Foundation's mission or John Beilein's character.  This voting has been purely anti-Michigan.  For Michigan State fans, it's the home-state antagonism.  For Notre Dame fans, it's the home-state favoritism. For Ohio State fans . . . do you really need to wonder about their motivation?

Perhaps if West Virginia's Bob Huggins hadn't made the Final Four, there'd be some West Virginia fans who would be voting for their former coach; but even that wouldn't have been a guarantee.
