Vegas is serious business
ALL HAIL VEGAS. This is the second straight week Vegas has been a lot closer to the final outcome than us, Mgoblog brethren, who really should have as good or better a read on the team. At this point I really hope we're favored over Purdue by 7 or more.
Is this worth it's own thread, maybe not, BUT I'M SO HAPPY.

...that they set the O/U for 131.5 These guys are good...

Is that true? I almost can't believe it.

Even Vegas isn't that good. Wasn't the over/under 57? Which was surpassed by halftime!

57.5. It was gone by halftime.

132 points is insane.

That's insane.

Vegas might have lost a lot of money by giving out illini +3, but they also made a TON on people betting the illinois moneyline.
I bet they came out slightly ahead. Still a smart move by them.
But who am I kidding, GO BLUE MOTHERF#$*&#!!!!!!

the best result for the house is the underdog to cover, but not win. More often than not people bet the favorite, so they like the underdog to cover, but avoid paying out the underdog moneyline.

This thread is now about what people who bet on Illinois are going to do with their winnings, now that they don't have to spend it all on enough booze to make the pain go away.

I would've taken Illinois +3. My theory was that it the football gods would punish my greed and Michigan would win the game. Well, as it turns out, I could've had my cake and eaten it, too.
Just scary how those Vegas lines work. I think I'll just keep my money under my mattress.
For those who did gamble on this one, I'm curious to know how it worked out for you.
