Vegas does not like Harbaugh's chances of taking over Rams

Submitted by Primo on

I, for one, am shocked. /s

Apparently our Jimmy is +3000 to be the next Rams' HC.  For you non-gamblers out there, that means that if you bet $100 on this occurring and it in fact does so, you'd win $3,000.  Josh McDaniels is the favorite at +150.  Detroit's Jim Bob Cooter checks in at +750 (don't go, Coach Jim Bob!).

Yes, we probably don't need another thread about this but Vegas speaking on the subject should be noteworthy for the dullards who can be clickbaited into believing anything.

If I bet on Harbaugh to the Rams and he stays at Michigan, I'm happy. If he goes to the Rams, I'm depressed but monetarily compensated for this depression.

Per 247, "NFL insider" got a text from a source close to Harbaugh who said something along the lines that "Harbaugh isn't going anywhere and he'll probably never leave Michigan." I hope everyone can shut the fuck up about it now.

Why doesn't Harbaugh use more of these "back channel" sources to "leak out" information that he's staying put and happy at UM? Probably would help his cause with recruiting. The rumors don't warrant direct comment from Harbaugh, but wouldn't hurt to indirectly quash them.

I'm not sure that rumors indicating Harbaugh is desired by NFL franchises is such a bad thing.  I think it helps remind recruits that Harbaugh was a successful NFL coach and that playing in his system will help them get to the next level.  He can dismiss the rumors when he recruits the kids, and all these kids growing up see Harbaugh's name all over the news every time there's a coaching vacancy.

I got a chuckle out of the mailbag question Quinn and Nick got on the Wolverine Beat today when the guy asked the odds of Harbaugh leaving Michigan to join Trump's cabinet to over see officiating at all levels of sports.

That one was good humor for a slow newsday.

Jimmy is all about family, and he's surrounded by his in HIS hometown.  He told evry recruit and THEIR families this weekend he isn't going anywhere.  Story is dead, buried, gone.  Leave it

He may leave Michigan to go back to the NFL (or retire at some point)...but he has work to do here now. My friend is very, very high in the Rams organization and he thinks Harbaugh is a nut job (great coach)...but he would not want him working for him.

Have we not learned that continually discussing stupidity/rumors/jokes/lies will eventually legitimize that thing.   Some writer  made up a rumor to get clicks, can we stop treating it like it's an actual possibility.
