USC AD Mike Bohn resigns/canned
Mike Bohn has resigned due to "health reasons," according to a statement from him. But its being reported there is some internal stuff going on, which sounds like it is the way he treated staff.

Although this second link is an Athletic link through Google. Does it work for non-Athletic subscribers?
If not, there's not a whole lot of difference between the two articles except maybe this little blurb
Friday’s news stunned many of Bohn’s peers in the industry. Three Big Ten sources told The Athletic that he wasn’t in Rosemont, Ill., earlier this week for the league’s meetings, which was odd, they each independently noted.
The Trojans are fewer than 14 months away from making their move to the Big Ten, which makes the timing of such a decision even more surprising. There is still so much for USC to do to prepare for the move, from logistical challenges to travel issues.
New Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti has said repeatedly that the seamless integration of USC and UCLA to the league in the summer of 2024 is his main priority right now. Those schools and the league office have been meeting over the past few months to work on all related issues. — Auerbach
And this
The decision by Bohn to resign is not a completely unexpected one, based on conversations with sources in the industry and familiar with Bohn in recent months, but the timing and nature of the decision and announcement are shocking. The speculation among those sources was that Bohn would likely leave his position before the official transition to the Big Ten next year. It’s worth noting that much of this talk came in the wake of Brandon Sosna — USC’s former chief of staff and Bohn’s right-hand-man at multiple collegiate stops — leaving the Trojans for a front-office role with the Detroit Lions last summer.
From what I've read Sosna was instrumental in both the Riley hire and getting added to the Big Ten. I'd bet good money on them backing up the brinks truck to try and get him back.

Sounds like he got boned
Sucks to be him.
Rumor is that he was a complete dick
sure sign he is a billionaire....
Not every asshole is a billionaire. But every billionaire is an asshole!
I would be an asshole if I was a billionaire. Not intentionally, but there are pretty much no consequences to your actions. Maybe public perception if you're a celebrity billionaire. Without that feedback loop you're doomed.
Yeah, I had heard rumors from my USC relatives that he was an.....unkind person.
The guy made lewd comments and was known to touch women in ways that made them feel uncomfortable. A lot of people complained about it for a long time. He also seems to have been generally bad at his job.
Maybe he's aiming for the GOP nomination.

You can pretty much throw in 80% of all politicians into this bucket.
Weird how someone can make $200k per year and end up with $20 mil after a few short years.
Insider trading is where it’s at. It’s somehow “legal” for government folk. Paul Pelosi, as an example, is a better stock trader than Warren Buffet. He’s not alone, though.
There used to be rules against government offiicials trading on information. Past few years you hear a lot of cases where some senator or representative gets a slight reprimand for this. Normal people go to jail for that. You can't really beat the market (mutual funds) unless you have some special knowledge. It shouldn't be a big deal for government offiicials to not be allowed to buy individual stocks, especially one that involve their committees.
Shouldn’t, but problem is it’ll never happen. They would have to outlaw themselves. Good luck with getting them to do that.
Isn’t outlawed for literally EVERYONE!
When you get the Supreme Court even allowing justices to rule on cases involving firms in which they have a financial interest, it's not surprising.
Well they do need someone to offset hair-sniffing/creepy Joe.

What kind of can did he get turned into?
If I was going to be a can I think I'd pick trash can.
I really miss those old corrugated Oscar the grouch cans. That's when garbage was garbage.
Nowadays it's all heavy plastic bin bullshit.
You should check out Jim Jeffries bit on garbage cans
The garbage has changed but you’re still the same.

I believe he was pushing to hire Urban Meyer before the president of the university got involved and told him absolutely not. So this isn’t exactly surprising.
So he went Urban Meyer and retired for "Health Reasons" also.
This reads a lot like he was canned because of the workplace allegations/lawsuit against him.
Since he was engaging in inappropriate behavior that, in no small part, led to this, I'll gladly call it a non-voluntary separation, instead of a mutual one.
Damn. After getting Lincoln Riley, Bronny and into the B1G, I would have thought this guy was God at USC.
USC had a truly awful run of A.D.s before Bohn: Mike Garrett, Pat Haden, and Lynn Swann. They just got out from under that with Bohn, and now he's out. What a mess...
Maybe - just hear me out - USC is just full of crappy people. It ain't called the University of Spoiled Children for nuthin'.
They should be Michigan State's protected rival.
I had this same thought as well, but he was apparently hated by the folks close to the program.
A wealthy USC alum I speak with every few months indicated that he was hated by everyone around the program and Lincoln Riley was done dealing with him. The alum suggested he was the "worst AD ever" to which I commented that USC has had a long line of really bad ADs lately, to which he agreed but suggested that even after hiring Riley, this one was still the worst.
What a Bohner
I hope his mother is proud of him!
What is with people in power and not treating others with respect. SMH. I am sure USC will hire another person with not stellar character soon. May be it is USC who spoils people.
Much like the Baltimore Ravens and unsavory/criminal behavior, malfeasance and immorality are just endemic to that "institution of higher learning".
I'd be embarrassed to be an alumnus of it.
