Urban to USC looking strong

Submitted by Bigfoot on November 7th, 2019 at 5:56 PM

1. Urban hasn’t commented about USC job despite huge noise.

2. Shadow twitter account proclaiming his innocence/ virtues as usc candidate: he was theIt first follower. It is suspected to be a family member running it.

3. Previous relationship with new AD Bohn.

4. And the kicker: https://mobile.twitter.com/keelyismyname/status/1192514314306899970?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2F247sports.com%2Fcollege%2Fusc%2FBoard%2FThe-Peristyle-102339%2F

So they're not even going to pretend it was about his health, say a doctor has pronounced him cured, nada. Impunity rules in American life, and slowly erodes people's sense of fair play, along with any need for the rest of us to play by the rules, with any pretense of common decency.

Aw hell, we already knew that about USC. Get Urban out there and we can all rejoice every time he loses.

I would absolutely rather live in Nebraska than Los Angeles, that's not even a question. I would probably live closer to Omaha and commute, since Omaha is super nice, but that entire area is better than Los Angeles.

Also, Nebraska has a better stadium and facilities, plays in a better conference, and has better uniforms. Next.

Said no person younger than the age of 35 ever.

I think this is more of a conversation regarding your preferences than current "blue blood" status lol.

Nebraska definitely does not have better uniforms. GTFO with that nonsense. The LA schools are both in the top 10, if not top 5 with their home unis with Michigan obviously being #1.

I am under the age of 30 and have friends under the age of 30 who moved to and work in Omaha on purpose. It's widely regarded as a top 20ish city to live in the country.

USC not in top ten uniforms. Top ten is Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, LSU, Penn State, Florida State, Nebraska, Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia.

Mediocre?

The true comment of a message board poser.

You do not, like everyone here, know the first thing about mediocre school.

They are all the same, after the name

Sit in a huge hall with 300 other hungover, half asleep entitled loafers

Spend 80% of the time smelling like a skunk

Writing shitty papers graded by a TA who is as drunk as you are and probably blowing the Prof for his or her stipend money

Going so far into debt you will either never pay it off or barely afford it with your shit job at the bottom of the corporate ladder

barely graduate, and only because your parents threaten to not allow you to move back home without the degree

And a degree is a degree is a degree

You're 100% right. People would MUCH rather live in cornfields with arctic winters than live by the beaches and 75 degree days in December. Especially college kids, who hate the visits from music and movie stars to their practice fields on a regular basis. And I'm sure there aren't attractive women at USC, it doesn't seem like the kind of place that would have very many if any.

For once I agree with you.

Any city is what you make it. Go there, experience it.

Nah, most of the guys here sit in their basements judging everything because they want to feel cool with their pretend UM degrees and pretend really cool jobs and pretend really hot wives.

Omaha is growing up, becoming more cosmopolitan, and enjoying a very strong economy. Two universities, a major Air Force base, urban living without urban crime, close to other major metro areas for getaways, very civil population that enjoys where they are, quality of life--I have an 8 minute drive to work--

And although we have potholes that make great swimming pools in the summer after a rainstorm, there really are NO cornfields in the city, particularly downtown.

Again, any city, anywhere is what one makes of it.

But message board guy with his pretend really cool lifestyle would not know that.

Wow. Really. I didn't think he would go west, and instead go south.  But then again he left the south with controversy, and had success out west at Utah.

The Gator faithful would lynch him if he took another job in the South, especially FL or SEC school. Don't you remember all the flack he took going to osu after being "too ill health to continue coaching" at FL? The one good side of him going to usc is seeing osu reactions if there is any. Though that may be minimal now.
