Urban to USC looking strong
1. Urban hasn’t commented about USC job despite huge noise.
2. Shadow twitter account proclaiming his innocence/ virtues as usc candidate: he was theIt first follower. It is suspected to be a family member running it.
3. Previous relationship with new AD Bohn.

So they're not even going to pretend it was about his health, say a doctor has pronounced him cured, nada. Impunity rules in American life, and slowly erodes people's sense of fair play, along with any need for the rest of us to play by the rules, with any pretense of common decency.
Aw hell, we already knew that about USC. Get Urban out there and we can all rejoice every time he loses.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:14 PM ^
It'll be interesting to see how the smog impacts his memory
November 7th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
USC is the shittiest blueblood, change my mind.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:17 PM ^
Texas still loses routinely to TCU and Baylor
November 7th, 2019 at 6:21 PM ^
Texas has more money, a much nicer stadium and facilities, an entire state where football is revered, better uniforms, better rivalries, and isn't located in a somewhat sketchy part of a terrible city.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:28 PM ^
But would you rather live in Lincoln, Nebraska over South Central LA (which isn't even THAT sketchy anymore)?
November 7th, 2019 at 6:36 PM ^
I would absolutely rather live in Nebraska than Los Angeles, that's not even a question. I would probably live closer to Omaha and commute, since Omaha is super nice, but that entire area is better than Los Angeles.
Also, Nebraska has a better stadium and facilities, plays in a better conference, and has better uniforms. Next.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:45 PM ^
Said no person younger than the age of 35 ever.
I think this is more of a conversation regarding your preferences than current "blue blood" status lol.
Nebraska definitely does not have better uniforms. GTFO with that nonsense. The LA schools are both in the top 10, if not top 5 with their home unis with Michigan obviously being #1.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:51 PM ^
I am under the age of 30 and have friends under the age of 30 who moved to and work in Omaha on purpose. It's widely regarded as a top 20ish city to live in the country.
USC not in top ten uniforms. Top ten is Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, LSU, Penn State, Florida State, Nebraska, Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:59 PM ^
Kick Nebraska, UGA and LSU out
Add in UCLA, USC and Tennessee.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:05 PM ^
No, but Tennessee is good too. Next tier.
November 7th, 2019 at 8:01 PM ^
I have to strongly disagree with LSU, Florida, Nebraska, and Ohio State (although the latter may be more bias than aesthetics). LSU and Florida have hokey uniforms and Nebraska's are just boring.
I would replace those four with Oregon, Boston College, Virginia, and Vanderbilt.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:55 PM ^
Nebraska's helmets would be better if they didn't use red electrical tape for the N.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:58 PM ^
Iconic
November 7th, 2019 at 7:23 PM ^
I'm afraid to ask what she is expecting those cows to throw her.
November 8th, 2019 at 1:27 AM ^
Nebraska's helmets are racist because it uses the N word.
November 8th, 2019 at 2:03 AM ^
i was told that the N stood for knowledge.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:51 PM ^
I've never been to L.A., but I've been to Nebraska, and there's no amount of money you could pay me to live there. Fuck that. Nebraska is a lot of dismal flat nothingness.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:57 PM ^
Omaha is a super nice city of 500,000 on a major river with clean air. Los Angeles is an overgrown cesspool of traffic, unaffordable housing, tent cities, and smog. But cool, LA has some hills, that's definitely worth it.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:32 PM ^
Hey, I'm not defending L.A. I'm crapping on Omaha as a dull, dull place.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:35 PM ^
Omaha is dope. People want to think all of Nebraska is rural Nebraska, which is ignoring a really nice, vibrant, large city in Omaha. Also Lincoln is nice, their stadium is nice, and their fans are super nice. Give me Nebraska all day.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:53 PM ^
"vibrant" lol.
November 7th, 2019 at 8:13 PM ^
When I recruited for a faculty spot at Nebraska, even the faculty on the search committee told me that Lincoln sucked.
November 7th, 2019 at 8:18 PM ^
Bullshit
November 7th, 2019 at 8:19 PM ^
Fuck off moron. Nobody brags about recruiting for a job at a mediocre school like that.
November 7th, 2019 at 8:36 PM ^
Mediocre?
The true comment of a message board poser.
You do not, like everyone here, know the first thing about mediocre school.
They are all the same, after the name
Sit in a huge hall with 300 other hungover, half asleep entitled loafers
Spend 80% of the time smelling like a skunk
Writing shitty papers graded by a TA who is as drunk as you are and probably blowing the Prof for his or her stipend money
Going so far into debt you will either never pay it off or barely afford it with your shit job at the bottom of the corporate ladder
barely graduate, and only because your parents threaten to not allow you to move back home without the degree
And a degree is a degree is a degree
November 7th, 2019 at 8:43 PM ^
Man, I've got to contact my dean about getting one of those TA's that blow you. Or hell, where do you go to school? Handing out blow-the-prof TA's? I'll go teach there wherever it is.
November 8th, 2019 at 12:02 AM ^
I do business in Omaha and it’s dope for like a day.
November 8th, 2019 at 12:05 AM ^
Like Cedar Rapids, Iowa!! It’s by a river!
/s
November 7th, 2019 at 8:20 PM ^
Technically you just crapped on Nebraska as a whole
November 7th, 2019 at 7:41 PM ^
Also yearly fires/mudslides/earthquakes. I'm not going to mention their politics either.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:53 PM ^
I've lived in LA, in Beverly Hills. LA is awesome if you have a lot of money. It's a lot of fun. Most young professionals with money would prefer LA over living in Nebraska.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:36 PM ^
The hills are there to give you a place to stand, look down at the black ocean of smog, and say "never mind, I'm not living in that."
Maybe I arrived on a particularly bad day but I'll never forget that first non-view of the city.
November 7th, 2019 at 8:16 PM ^
You sound like a pussy.....Omaha is super niiiiiiice. Come on man.
November 7th, 2019 at 8:14 PM ^
If you have to refer to an area as "not THAT sketchy anymore", I don't want to live there. As a CFB fan, I would much rather live in Lincoln. They live, eat, and breathe CFB there, and the people there are very nice, regardless of who you're rooting for. CFB is just another thing in LA.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:43 PM ^
"LA is a terrible city."
- People who don't live in and have never lived in LA
November 7th, 2019 at 6:44 PM ^
I'm glad you enjoy it, but I have family there and have experienced it plenty to inform you that it is indeed garbage and your opinions are bad, thank you, bye.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:09 PM ^
You're 100% right. People would MUCH rather live in cornfields with arctic winters than live by the beaches and 75 degree days in December. Especially college kids, who hate the visits from music and movie stars to their practice fields on a regular basis. And I'm sure there aren't attractive women at USC, it doesn't seem like the kind of place that would have very many if any.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:13 PM ^
I don't think there are many cornfields in downtown Omaha or in the middle of the diag at UofN. Could be wrong though.
November 7th, 2019 at 8:25 PM ^
For once I agree with you.
Any city is what you make it. Go there, experience it.
Nah, most of the guys here sit in their basements judging everything because they want to feel cool with their pretend UM degrees and pretend really cool jobs and pretend really hot wives.
Omaha is growing up, becoming more cosmopolitan, and enjoying a very strong economy. Two universities, a major Air Force base, urban living without urban crime, close to other major metro areas for getaways, very civil population that enjoys where they are, quality of life--I have an 8 minute drive to work--
And although we have potholes that make great swimming pools in the summer after a rainstorm, there really are NO cornfields in the city, particularly downtown.
Again, any city, anywhere is what one makes of it.
But message board guy with his pretend really cool lifestyle would not know that.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:42 PM ^
I lived in LA for the better part of four years. You are both right. It is both terrible and awesome, depending on where you are in the City, in your life.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:14 PM ^
LA says fuck you, uncle goober.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:31 PM ^
No thanks, I just got tested and don't want to go again so soon.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:28 PM ^
Um Nebraska?
I also add The U in contention as well.
November 7th, 2019 at 6:37 PM ^
Miami is not a blue blood
November 7th, 2019 at 9:02 PM ^
Tennessee. Nuff ced
November 7th, 2019 at 9:23 PM ^
Tennessee is not a blue blood
November 7th, 2019 at 6:20 PM ^
Wow. Really. I didn't think he would go west, and instead go south. But then again he left the south with controversy, and had success out west at Utah.
November 7th, 2019 at 7:21 PM ^
The Gator faithful would lynch him if he took another job in the South, especially FL or SEC school. Don't you remember all the flack he took going to osu after being "too ill health to continue coaching" at FL? The one good side of him going to usc is seeing osu reactions if there is any. Though that may be minimal now.
