Urban likes puzzles
Just a quick story of a recruit who received a unique post from Urban. Somehow I can't see BH getting this cheesy. I have a feeling if this recruit doesn't commit, the picture will be photo shopped with the next guys head.

I'm sure Urban Meyer produced the artwork himself.
Also, is it that hard to spell out the name "Brady" and/or "Hoke"?

What's "Ohio State"? Is that like when they started calling themselves THE Ohio?

We called ourselves "THE Ohio"? That's new to me. Tell me more.

What's bad is that the pieces wouldn't fit. Notice, for instance, the lanyard around the recruit's neck that doesn't continue onto the decapitated body. Also, the top right piece from the head should have a bit of scarlet to complete the first "s" in "missing" but does not. Lastly, there appears to be a part of a darker skinned ear floating in the sky of the main image but the head shot has complete, light skinned ears. Me thinks this was created for a recruit better than the 15th best player in New Jersey and reused for this schlep.
Yes, I've got too much time on my hands.

In addition, and it could be just my monitor settings, the sky around the head is a slightly different color than the sky in the main puzzle. Overall, it would seem that Meyer may be telling a recruit that he very nearly fits into his greater vision for Buckeye football, with noted situational exceptions.

Yes, he can only play when cloud cover is less than 20 percent, must wear a lanyard but only if tucked mysteriously into his pads, and for the offer to be commitable, he must have an ear transplant, securing the organs of an african american to replace his puny white ears.

In addition to that, notice that the bottom right piece is missing part of the Nike Swoosh checkmark.
Not exactly the perfect photoshop but it gets the point across. Better than sending out 100+ handwritten messages of "you're a baller" and such. Hope Urbz can find that missing piece.

It is actually six missing peices. Have they no respect for math?

is exactly what I thought!
Furthormore, if he was the missing piece(s), how did they find the piece(s)? Cause I would have to say at least 9 out of 10 missing puzzle piece(s) crimes go unsolved.

Wait, this is genius. Did you come up with it on your own? I'm dying for more of this comedic gold!

That joke was quite good, but it can't compare to a "taking the puzzle way too seriously" bit.

This is all that ever needed to be said and heard about this coaching staff. Hoke is genuine, the staff is genuine. Kids and their families can recognize this. Urban is a sleazy used car salesman. Tthe train has long left the station on him trying to brand himself as a father figure that cares about developing student athletes, etc. so he is right to stick with the cheezy gimicks like puzzles.

I liked the creativity of Urban and his staff in recruiting. Things are going well at tOSU and a host of people in the U.S. agree with that by ranking the Bucks in the top five.
I like the recruiting efforts by Hoke and his staff. The greatest rivalry in sports will continue.

Yeah, I don't really get the HURR DURR URBZ LIKS PUZZLEZ TOSU IS LAME vibe to this thread.
Meyer is obviously doing quite well on the recruiting trail, as is Hoke. So what if they have different styles? If they both work, then what's the big deal.
August 21st, 2013 at 1:59 PM ^
And Meyer would do well with or without the cheese. He has a track record of winning (at all costs), coaches at a blue blood football factory (willing to bend the rules), and has a history of getting players into the NFL (and jail). All smugness aside, the point is OSU will get theirs regardless, but the puzzle is really cheezy. And it's hard to take a guy like Meyer seriously when he is trying to play the sentimental / peronal touch angle when his entire history is that of a sleazy opportunist. Real recognize real. Real also recognize cheese.

Marketing, people. Someone got paid to make this. Marketing.
Glad to see M and OSU are together leading the B1G... in terms of embracing the spurious corporate demeanor we have all come to admire
