Coming off a sweep of FYS, we have an oddball Tuesday night game at to Hell with Notre Dame. Can we make it three wins in a row? That would be aMAIZEing!

So surprised to see that I’m getting this game on SNY in New York. I think this is the first televised game I’ve had here this season (without BTN)

Feels like the story of this season is that we're pretty good 5 on 5 and have absolutely awful special teams.  Which is similar to last year, but we had more scoring last year.

I think it helps both, certainly UM's run to the frozen four last year started with the sweep of ND in late Feb, after that UM was securely in the top-10 in the pwr.  However ND traveling to the east coast in the hockey east could not have been fun.  But Delaney really screwed a big part of college hockey with the big ten conference.  College sports is about rivalries and he ruined a whole bunch just to create, what, UM-PSU?  He's all about power and ego, for sure.

I wonder if it's sustainable honestly. You've literally got some of the best hockey programs of all time in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and MSU all in one conference.

But now you've also got an upstart PSU team with a large backing, same with ND, and OSU has been real good lately. With everybody beating up on each other and with so many powers in one conference you're gonna struggle to have many teams make the tournament, and while all those powers listed above were making the tournament with some in the WCHA and some in the CCHA, you're not gonna be able to all make it every year anymore, and that will piss off the fans.

Yea but none of those four teams - UM, MSU, Wisc, Minn have been doing consistently well since the big ten formed or even a few years before.  Wisconsin has made the tourney twice since 2010, MSU once since 2009, so these are not the teams from the 90's.  Michigan has been up and down as we know, Minnesota has actually been the best, but has missed the tourney 2 of the last three years.

Last year, four big ten teams made it out of 7, which is pretty good.

Anyone else here at the game tonight?

I'm in section 17 2nd row in the corner, the end we're now defending.  Brought my granddaughter to her first hockey game ever!

We wiffed on a lot of good scoring chances in the first period.  I thought we outplayed ND for most of the opening period, despite being down 2-0.

We did NOT look good much of the 2nd period.  Turned the puck over a lot.
