TWIS is up
TWIS has been posted by our fearless leader. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2012/10/24/3549424/this-week-in-schadenfreude-west-virginia-mike-valenti
WVU gets the lead, but there's plenty of Sparty freude as well.

I've been checking since yesterday afternoon. I need to taste the sweet tears.

I'd been hitting refresh on SBN every 15 minutes until this went up.
Already looking forward to next weeks Husker freude

Had to explain to coworkers the meaning of "Schadenfreude"

Lisa had to teach Homer the meaning of the word too. That's actually where I learned it.

Personally....the weekly Colorado and Auburn meltdowns are bringing tears to my eyes. Especially Auburn, that fanbase is finding its way into my heart.

I was a CO fan before I was a Michigan fan/alum as it was my mom's alma mater, so I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for them. Seeing them completely disintegrate is just sad for me. Auburn on the other hand, that I'm laughing my butt off about.

Had the hail mary been incomplete in '94, I would feel sorry for Colorado. But it was completed. So I feel nothing for them.

was the last time I ever rooted against Michigan, and was instrumental in actually pushing me towards the school. I chronicled the story of why in a diary post last month.

I love readig their meltdowns. i am not sure we should call them a meltdown anymore, I think it is too common for a meltdown and is more routine now.

"Who kicks a field goal down 44-10???" - a Tennessee fan
To be absolutely fair, you are in a three way tie for second in FGs made in the SEC with Vanderbilt and Auburn. This is a strength and you need to go with the strengths sometimes.

Maybe he had the over?

Poor Colorado. He is that kid that gets beat up every day in grade school and you can't do anything about it but just watch. Because deep in your cold icy black heart you know that one day he'll rear back and strike. But its not today. No. Not today.

I am seeing a pattern here. Coaches like Danny Hope and Dana Holgorsen were once seen by their fans to have odorless feces. Now, rants about them make TWIS.

spelled "Schpartanfreude"

you did here.

I didn't know, but maybe I should have, that the Valenti rant was widely known outside of the ND and MSU fans who are (more) directly involved, and schadenfreude-loving UM fans. I'm glad it's bringing joy to non-Spartans across the nation.

PUCKER PUCKER PUCKER!
I play that every year before the ND-MSU game. It never gets old.

awesomeness.

Geno, what happened to the Heisman run?

October 24th, 2012 at 9:28 PM ^
Does that sound familiar? It's 2010 Michigan with the same situation.
October 25th, 2012 at 9:13 AM ^
And Denard Robinson Heisman Run 2010. Early season hype machine disappears after a couple losses.

I find myself getting more and more excited about TWIS each and every week . . . hopefully we are no longer a main feature!
