Trick Plays for OSU
No, this is not another stoopid "lets have Lewan and Robinson line up in backfield as QB and put Denard at slot..." threads. I have a trick play guaranteed to work for the OSU game...and it has nothing to do with the offense.
Let's play 17 people on defense. We could have 4 linemen, 4 linebackers, 3 deep safeties and 6 cb (over-under double of all their receivers). I think we could hold them to few enough points to mak the game interesting.

Okay, this one was funny.

wow that was worth my time.
Although I think you had something there about the offense. If you had Lewan and Robinson in the backfield, plus Denard in the slot, that would mean they cloned Denard Robinson this week. Now that would be a good idea.

I meant Terrance Robinson. I wanted to put Odoms (biggest size discrepancy), but alas AM_HG.

Ha ok. Although that may also be a pretty good play.

Speaking of Terrance Robinson, where has he been?

I don't think that we have 6 CBs on the roster.

somehow I still think we'd manage to leave vacated zones 20 yards down the field.

Unfortunately, you're probably right.

I'm not sure we have the defensive depth to pull that off.
But throw in some position switches, and I'm on board.

How about the offense just plays both ways? At least we would have speed all over the defense. Sure they might get tired but that is when we sub in the defense on offense! Is that tricky enough?

Who needs a trick play? Isn't a buckeye nut a trick?

I'm guessing the surprise on-side kick is gone. Not the UM might attempt it, but I'm sure after the UM/Wisky game, Tressell will have his guys ready for the onside kick in the first quarter.

What about tackling? This surely will be one of the plays the Bucks are not prepared for due to lack of evidence on game film.

We didn't want to give away the entire defensive playbook; I think we've been saving this one for the end.

Let's get a special NCAA exemption to give Charles Woodson, Pierre Woods, Brandon Graham, Shawn Crable, Stevie Brown, (you tell me who else) one more game of eligibility to play defense for us this Saturday....
